Do any of you believe this late Penix hype? Not too long ago he was reportedly off some teams draft boards because of injury history.
A lot of rat smell recently.

Injury risk but Huge talent.

Penix is unique. Early college was more mobile with Indiana. Then all the injuries you could have over an entire NFL career. His seasons thru Washington resemble many NFL great athletes at QB who start out their pro seasons running a lot and evolve into pocket dwellers. It's like he has peaked and already lived a whole NFL life with the better Washington blocking and receivers at the end.
Nix is another who also has peaked. But his ability to sell playaction, roll-out, and slip scramble out of sacks would be a better fit of those two for the KOC system should it come down to them.
But, in getting back to the title of the big 3 after Williams - its now obvious how much more draft capital they each would require over this duo from the Pac 12. Certainly, any of those 3 guys do all these things better than Nix. So, the Darnold factor is a fallback.

Nope don't want him. If we can't get Maye, and if Daniels goes 2, I would rather have Nix or Penix over JJ

My gut feeling is KOC wants Drake Maye, which honestly would not be my pick. I think KAM is going to leave the QB choice to KOC as well he should and we all have to hope KOC gets it right.
Not sure how or if KAM will be able to move up to get Maye.
Drake is young but inconsistent and has real issues with accuracy. Ton of potential so fingers crossed if they pull the trigger. It would not be the move I would make but I don't coach or evaluate NFL QBs.
