I think it is pretty locked in that Daniels is going at 2, until this week he had refused to meet with the Vikes and finally did so this week after his agent got upset with Washington for having this bizarre visit where they invited Daniels, Maye, JJM and Penix all at the same time and took them to TopGolf, I guess in some attempt to see how they would interact with their piers, apparently some goofball thing the 49ers use to do. Daniels agent just using the Vikes visit most likely to get back at them, but also could be a sign that the Viking are a very serious player to move up.

A while back I thought I heard something about Daniels would enjoy playing for the Vikings. Take it for what it is worth.

I think the agent thought having Daniels meet with Minnesota would be a waste of time because the Vikings didnβt have a chance to draft him. But, if the picks go Williams and Maye at one and two, then the Vikings could trade up with New England and get Daniels at three if heβs the quarterback they prefer over McCarthy.

I just don't see a scenario that NE doesn't take the QB they want. When you need a QB and have a top 3 pick, why would you remove yourself from the situation?? I think if the roles were reversed people would be livid if we needed a QB and Kwesi traded back from 3 to 11 to get more picks and then got stuck with Nix at 11.

I think my order is Daniels, Maye, Nix, JJ and Penix only because of injury. It would be Daniels, Penix, Maye, Nix and JJ otherwise.

I believe the Patriots GM said "we are open for business" yesterday so every team knows and they can throw their best offer at them and then teams have to bid higher and higher so they can get a kings ransom for the pick. We'll see what happens.

2024 NFL Draft: Pro execs, scouts, coaches rank and evaluate the top 20 prospects in this QB classYeah, Joe Milton - I wanna follow him just on curiosity factor. "A physical specimen at 6-5 1/8 and 235 pounds with 10 1/4-inch hands and an 80-inch wingspan, Milton probably gets drafted off traits alone."... etc....."....showed off his huge arm at the combine, launching one ball that traveled 70 yards in the air. He had a 10-1 broad jump (best among QBs) and a 35-inch vertical (second) at the combine and reportedly ran a 40-yard dash in the high 4.5s/low 4.6s at his pro day. He turned 24 last month." ....etc.... I was also on the same page concerning build and size of some of the top six guys in Williams, Daniels, & Penix. Just throwing more out there!

I wouldn't be against them drafting 2 guys either. Like if they stayed pat at 11 and took Nix or Penix and then took this kid in the 4th round perhaps. That leaves us with 23 and our 1st next year as well.

Jayden Daniels at dinner with the Vikes brass last night
Please, please, please trade up for me.
Daniels wants to play for the Vikings if he had is choice, same can be said for every other QB in this draft.

I think they trade to 2 or 3 and take Daniels or Maye. If they like one of them a lot more than the other, it is time to put up the kings ransom and get it done. We have all been waiting for this for a very long time. Push all the chips in and get it done Kwesi. I have said this before Daniels could be very special in this offense and make it very explosive, but Maye could be the safer pick overall. Maye is likely the "Least Safe" QB of the entire bunch! He has the size and arm talent to be the best of the bunch, but the most likely outcome is boom or bust with him. While each QB has pro's and con's, some of the QB's con's are the difference between great or good/average if they can't be fixed. Maye's cons on the other hand if they can't be fixed likely = bust....like Trubisky. I think Daniels is going to be a good NFL QB and there is a lot to like about his game. I think of the QB's in this draft in some ways his ceiling/floor ratio may be the best. However of the big 5 QB's, Daniels is the QB whose strengths and weaknesses least fit the Vikings offensive scheme. But, my guess is that would not prohibit the Vikings from drafting him if he fell to them. I also don't think if for instance he wound up being the 3rd or 4th QB it would prohibit them from trading up for him. After the season, he was actually the first QB mentioned in relation to the Vikings and then it went deafly quiet....so I think yes he could very well be their #1 on their board. I always say the early rumors are the ones that are most likely accurate. My hope is the Vikings can't find a trade partner or decide the cost is too stupid and see what falls to them at 11, if it's Daniels, Maye, McCarthy or Penix....great, if it isn't that's fine too. The only QB I don't want is NIX. There are several lower rated QB's I'd much prefer over Nix.

I see Daniels as a perfect fit for the Vikings and my favorite of the QB prospects. Absoutely love his compact, repeatable throwing.
Would love to see the Vikings move up for him and I would part with some picks to do it. Just not sure there is a way to get it done if Washington takes him 2.
