JJ McCarthy last 2 years: 68.5%, 5710 passing yards, 44 tds and 9 picks. 508 rushing yards and 8 tds.
Drake Maye last 2 years: 65.0%, 7929 passing yards, 62 tds and 16 picks. 1147 rushing yards and 16 tds
Jayden Daniels last 2 years: 70%, 6725 passing yards, 57 tds and 7 picks. 2019 rushing yards and 21 tds
JJ had 645 attempts, Daniels had 715 attempts and Maye had 942 attempts.
If Daniels had the same attempts as Maye he would have had 8768 yards over the 2 years.
Conclusion: In the order I think they would draft: Daniels, Maye and then JJ.
Safest: Maye, Daniels and then JJ. Maye might be the better long term QB
More exciting: Daniels, Maye and then JJ. Daniels would bring a lot of excitement to this offense, if they can protect him and keep him upright and healthy, then he could be the long term answer as well.
If we move up, we are taking Daniels or Maye. Can JJ do more if required, unknown.
Just my thoughts. What do you think?

1. Maye 2. Daniels 3. Penix 4. JJ
I just hope they just draft the one they are convicted of and dont settle If you are going all in and trading the draft capital then get the one you want

No matter which quarterback the Vikings draft, the official team statement will be that he was the one they targeted all along, even if it ends up being Bo Nix.

JJ just can't be the top QB on their Draft Board. But he may be the highest left at the 1st Vikings pick. That pick is more mystery now.....11, 23 or way higher - this move will define front office skills or lack thereof.

They might shock the draft world, and not even take a QB

I agree with your rankings, but I feel JJM is the first QB of the next tier. That said, I truely believe Maye is KOC's target. I don't know if we can get him.

11 + 23 + 2025 1st + something to twist Commanders arm for Pick #2 and take Jayden Daniels.
If the front office can not get that done then maybe Penix at 23 or where you can get him.

I think he has Penix as the third QB behind Williams. In front of McCarthy.
Sounds reasonable it the injury history does not concern you.

IMO this is a pretty solid analysis. I wonder if Penix has gained some traction in this given his pro day. I'm leaning Daniels & Maye as my targets, but I'm far from a scout.

It is ok and pretty much par for the course to be a bad scout of QBs.
Seems like everyone is or it is true what Kurt Warner says 'nobody can really measure what matters, which is the ability to process loads of info lightning quick.'
I listen to Warner, Orlovsky and Chris Simms. Seems like those guys have as good a track record as anyone and they all 'miss.'
What becomes amusing is guys who 'are sure they are right, and Know how to project them.' It is fun to do and I think we all get our favorites but it remains such an inexact process.

Bo Nix last 2 years: 74%, 8,101 passing yards, 74 TDs and 10 INTs. 744 rushing yards and 20 TDs
9.6 Yards/Attempt
Drake Maye? 8.5 Jayden Daniels? 11.7 Caleb Williams? 9.4 JJ McCarthy? 9.0
I think Nix is being slept on. His footwork is fantastic, his vision is great. His ball placement is always on point. He is both a timing/tempo passer who has a quick get out time and able to buy time in the pocket while reading coverage.

Maybe the light just came on for him at Oregon? Who knows for sure. I seem to like him a bit more than most, and Penix less than most.
