If Sam D has a good year, there is still hardly a chance he will be available as trade capital next year on his Only 1 year contract.
Iβll give you the dual threat of running βmostlyβ with the top 5 guys they have a chance at except Penix. Regardless, I am with others who have noted that KOC does not add RPO into his offense. Of course, play action and sack avoidance are what it is all about - elements in the slowish Kirk for sure we need improved on with this youth and now very fast game of edge defenders.

I'd be happy to stay at #11 and take whomever falls to us; be it Nix who I really like, or Penix another one I really like, or JJ. I would be happy with either one of them, and then take a top IOL men or an OT, Or trade down for a later 1st and a grab a 2nd rounder.
We already have Darnold and Hall as our QB's on the roster; I think Mullens could be the QB on the outs.
If Darnold does turn the corner; we'd be sitting in a great spot to trading next year a top QB for a boat load of picks, but that of course would have to say that the QB we select this year turns out to being the guy. What a problem that would be nice to have for a change. This draft sure seems to fit what teams above us are looking for; so most of these teams may not want to really trade out, and miss out. I'm beginning to think it will cost us more then what we can afford to move up. I would sure hate to see another Walker deal that almost wiped us out for years, and actually it sorta did. Do we really want that again? I really don't see a large gap between these top six QB's; Just about every one of these guys have the legs to being a due threat if needed. Keeping any one of these guys healthy could be a issue for us. Every one of these QB's say they would love to come into this situation, with the talent at WR's we have. Even Darnold hasn't had this good of a deal. So I say,"stay put", and lets see how the chips fall.
You are like the 3rd person that has called for a trade down from #23 after team spent this and next years 2nds to get #23. You want to trade down into the 2nd and try and get someone's 2nd next year? Trading down in the first will not net a 2nd from 23 to even 32. Maybe they could trade down with KC or someone like that and get 30-32 and their 2nd next year which would likely end out being a trade up from 40ish to 30-32 to get a much worse 2nd rounder next year. I do not understand the logic? #1 QB right now is projected as Sanders? I like all the top 4 this year and probably Penix more then Sanders. This will also be the last year of guys getting an extra covid year meaning the overall pool is likely to be better next year outside of QB and a couple select positions. This is the year to grab a QB and they made a move to enhance their ability to get a QB in this draft.

Now that was a much better breakdown and argument Vikeroo. Perhaps you guys were just getting lazy with the βdoesnβt fit KOc offense and KOC will not change argument.β
I have acknowledge Daniels worries me as an injury risk running. Also I would NOT want to remove running from his game. Lamar was perhaps a Zay Flowers fk up from beating Mahomes. I see Daniels as a better prospect as a complete QB than Lamar.
As far as βready nowβ QB I am not sure there is one so KOC would be coaching Daniels up like any other prospect. Maybe Penix is closest to ready now?
Maye looks like he has enough holes starting him would be a disaster. I think the NFL learning curve is going to be difficult for him. Hasnβt played much big competition and his inconsistency is a huge red flag. His best stretch came in an offensive system that is not fitted to the pros against terrible competition.
I donβt care for Nix. Waaaay too many passes at the line of scrimmage or behind it for me.
McCarthy could be close. Young but has seen the big stage. Seems to have skyrocketed up charts.

This is the year to grab a QB and they made a move to enhance their ability to get a QB in this draft. Just trading the next two years of 2nd for #23 was our first gamble. How is that going to work out; we don't know yet. Kwesi has not proven himself yet either. So these are two problems that have not been solved in most peoples minds as of yet. The media has not been our best friends either. If I have to go deep into explaining this; then it's also not worth my time either. You'll have to figure that one out yourself. The #11 and #23 thing I believe was the length that their willing to go; besides giving up this years and next years #2 picks. Anything more then that we're looking at giving up a lot of this teams future.....
The only other thing we have to give up (is what I call; our ace in the hole) JJ. Teams in the 4th and 5th spots are both looking for WR's on the most part. JJ is better then any of the WR's in this years draft and is worth the (minimum of the 4th or 5th rounder in this years draft) I think more. But the media thinks we should add our #11 or maybe #23 to him. I say they need to add at least a 2nd this year or next years, and we still retain our #11 and #23. So we have two deals we can work with; our #11 and #23 for the 4th or 5th, or JJ and one of their 2nds this year or next....... If they don't go for it; we stay where we are at #11 and see what falls, and if Nix or Penix is still there we grab one of them; why: because you have the Bronco's and the Raiders behind us, and my bet is they will be more then happy to grab them at their spots....
So that would still leave #23; what do we want to do with it? Options are on the table. The Bills are looking for a WR and so are the Chiefs; Deal making time, or do we stay and take a WR ourselves if we think that guy can be our #2 WR because we already have a guy on our team, that can move up to our #1 WR. That's the best way I can explain it. It's only guys opinion if they like Nix or not; personally I like what I saw of him playing.

JJ is worth a top 5 pick in and of himself. That aside what sense to does it make to trade up to #23 and then trade down from #23 for less value then you spent?

Bo Nix last 2 years: 74%, 8,101 passing yards, 74 TDs and 10 INTs. 744 rushing yards and 20 TDs 9.6 Yards/Attempt Drake Maye? 8.5 Jayden Daniels? 11.7 Caleb Williams? 9.4 JJ McCarthy? 9.0 I think Nix is being slept on.Β His footwork is fantastic, his vision is great. His ball placement is always on point. He is both a timing/tempo passer who has a quick get out time and able to buy time in the pocket while reading coverage.Β Not too shabby either, maybe they draft a defensive stud at 11 and take Nix at 23, but Denver and Oakland could snag him too. Can't wait until draft night! Could be Nix, ya never know...

While the #Commanders and #Patriots have received calls from teams attempting to move up for a QB, Washington has shown no indication it would move, per me and @mikegarafolo . New England would move for the right offer, but the Pats just haven't gotten such an offer yet.

Like 7th time in a row Daniels was still on the board. Don't get the algorithms.
