Dumb ass move to only get to #4 or 5 and draft a JJ Mccarthy! Just not smart with so many needs Yup. We got owners that don't hire good knowledgeable football people. Now we got a stocks and bonds GM and a shitty NFL reject QB running our future. We are bottom feeders for years to come.

11 and 23 isn't enough to move up to 3.

Other Gm's see Kwesi making moves and hoping he calls them, so they can take advantage of his "brilliance "

Well now; this is getting interesting, or scary; depends on how one looks at it. There's a lot one could do with these two picks; I just hope fear isn't riding on making this type of move.
This defiantly looks like; I'm putting my job on the line move. Having no 2nd or 3rd round pick could hurt; a lot; you could be making this a weak draft for yourself. I really think the quality of picks falls off after the 3rd round.
This most interesting at most with this move; hmmmm.

When Kwesi is gone we can look back and say he made the draft really entertaining! π

IMO this is a trade that is two fold. They can trade up to get the guy they want if they have a willing party. They can also use 23 to grab whichever QB is left if they cant trade up. So they essentially made the move to go back into the first round ahead of the draft.

I agree that the top 3 teams aren't trading down. Especially given that they'd be trading with a team who is likely going to take the guy they wanted. IMO, trading up only makes sense if you think Denver is going after the same QB who you want and is going to leap frog you. If not, trading up from 11 to 5 likely just gets you the same player

It depends on whether NE likes the third QB. Thereβs a high likelihood that the third QB will be a bust.

Best case scenario we get out qb at 11 and draft a DT, CB, DE or G ar 23

Just a reminder, we are flush with cash for next year's Free Agency which makes a weaker draft not as big of a concern. I think we're sitting pretty for 2025,26,27. I'm even going to go as far as being the first to say it here... Kwesi > Spielman.

Stay at #11 and take Nix or Penix, and then take a CB or DL at #23. Either way one is going to over draft for a QB; I'd rather do it at #11 then jumping to the top 5.

According to the draft chart I just looked at, 11 and 23 fall a bit short of #3, but I am thinking they will add another pick or player this year or next and try to get there.

Spielman built a roster that got us to an NFC title game, then tried to go over the hump with Cousins which blew up in his face.
