Whoever they draft I will be rootiing for that guy. I have only had 2 players I actually just never believed in Underwood and Samia.

It’s really simple…. We are the winningest franchise in all of professional football that have not won a SB and it is not even close. We have HOF players at nearly every position and have failed at securing the most important position in the game which is QB, We NEVER trade the farm to get the highest rated guy. Rather we take someone else’s leftovers and cross our fingers that somehow they will be something they are not with us. Why is this so complicated? Be a Howie Roseman and spend all of your capital year after year to try and find that guy and you have a chance to get to 2 Super Bowls in 6 years with 2 different QB’s and 2 different Head Coaches. Meanwhile we can’t get back to the dance since 1977. Geez… It's simple but you didn't answer the question. What is an acceptable give to move up to take one of the top guys that wont have you running to the board immediately after calling for Kwesi's head? This year, there isn't a "first round" guy I would trade up for, unless the guy fell below about #15 or so. Cousins has played really well for us the past couple of years, and he's only under contract for one more year. If the Vikings REALLY wanted to get one of the top two guys in next year's class, the best way to do that would be to work a trade of Cousins now, for picks, not for Lance. Use this year's third or later pick to draft "a guy," or raid a PS. 2023 would suck, but IF the top two QBs are as good as predicted, it would be worth it to secure a top QB for a decade, without giving up 3-5 years of first round picks.

Sadly I think more people say this publicly but dont mean it. So many fans seem to care more about being able to say they were right about X,Y,Z than wins.

I thought Leaf would be good for instance.

Easy. I’d trade 3 1st round picks for Caleb Williams or Drake Maye in 2024. Both guys are miles ahead of everyone in this class including Young. Their floors are substantially higher reducing your chance of failure and justifying the heavy draft capital. Nothing for anyone in this class. If one of the top guys slips to 23 and is the highest on the board then take him. Don’t trade capital to move up. We need all the draft capital we can get to keep up with the Bears, Lions and Packers. People forget that those 3 teams have so much ammunition over the next 2 years from trades. I'm in full agreement with this post. This isn't the QB draft class to go "all in". I think all of these guys are risks, though I think Young and Stroud are less so. I suspect this draft does not produce one Top 10 starting QB. I could be totally wrong, but blowing up this draft and the next two years drafts for total project in Richardson or guys like Levis and Hooker who have major holes in their game isn't the way to go. Caleb Williams is probably the most sure thing at QB coming into a draft since Andrew Luck. Maye is another level up from Young and Stroud. Just my opinion, but 24' is the QB draft to go for broke.

This is unlikely and I know people are going to hate this; but, I wouldn’t be upset if they traded out for a future 1st (and more) so they can stock up on draft capital to get a top QB next year.

That 21 year I think they started 0-5 and were well on the way...

Funny! Viking laugh at home while the Eagles are in the SB. Hilarious! Are you a professional cottage cheese curdler with that disposition? You should be…

Well, all this S2 test noise surrounding Stroud amounted to squat as far as draft position is concerned.
