2-1 Twins as bats finally going

Twins get 2 back in the top of the 2nd on a run scoring double by Arraez who in turn scored on single by Kepler.
Bieber's sinker/slider is not working as usual. Most are in the dirt and the Twins are being patient for a change at the plate. Couple of really hard hits (plus Wade nearly had a HR leading off the inning but it hooked foul).
Maybe the Twins have a chance after all as Bieber looks out of sorts.

Baldeli better have someone up in the BP real quick. After getting ahead in the count, Hill threw 4 straight hanging curves (1 hit hard for a foul) and other than 1, none of the others were even close to strikes walking the lead off hitter. Just not getting any real bite on the curve. After a liner to RF, Hill was able to pick off the runner who was easily thrown out and got the final out (deep FO to C to Wade at the warning track).
Tribe are just teeing off on Hill.

Bieber deals his 3rd free pass to Sano in the 3rd. Twins also have 3 hits against him. He's BEATABLE tonight. Hill is getting hammered. Get a long reliever in ASAP.

Hill managed to retire the side in the 3rd but still looks his age (40). Best FB tonight (89 mph), most have been 86-88. Curve is hanging (low to mid 70's) but he got DeShields to swing over the top on a curve on the outside corner for his 1st SO.

Twins get another hit but leave the runner stranded.
Bieber is having serious probs with his command of his cutter/sinker/splitter (whatever you want to call it). Most are bouncing in the dirt.
More importantly, his velocity on his FB is way down. 93 mph v. his 1st outing against the Twins when he was at 97-98 mph. Twins have hit several bullets but right at the fielder.
Like I said, he's beatable tonight.

Hill gave up a single and a BB but stranded both getting Santana to swing over the top of Hill's best curve of the night (after fouling off a mediocre FB off his own knee and appeared to still be hobbling when he went back to the box).
Hill's pitch count is 64 (with 40 strikes). I personally wouldn't let him go back for the 5th unless the Twins break the game open in the top of the inning and even then I'd have Duffey, May or Alcala up in the pen ready to go at a moments notice.

Cruz back to his bad habit of swinging at breaking stuff off the plate in the dirt trying to pull everything (2nd straight SO).
Bieber had his 1st inning where he retired the side w/o a hit or BB.

Unbelievable. Hill SO's the side and actually looked decent for the 1st time tonight. Miracles never cease to amaze me.
Pitch count up to 78.

Bieber matches Hill with 3 SO's (Twins swinging at pitches in the dirt) to up his total to 10.
However, his pitch count thru 6 is already 102 (with only 60 for strikes, many which were out of the zone but the Twins helped him out swinging at them). Last outing he threw 75% of his pitches for strikes and they were good strikes unlike tonight).

Alcala on in relief for the bottom of the 6th. Gave up a seeing eye single that Sano should have grabbed (trust me, if Marwin was at 1st, he would have caught it and recorded the out).

Fark. Alcala hung a slider to Lindor who launched it for a 2 run HR.

Nothing like blowing a winnable game and then not stopping the bleeding.
