Odorizzi will get the start. Hopefully he'll pitch better (and longer) than his last outing now that he's had the chance to "shake the rust off". He looked very uncomfortable on the mound against the Royals the last time.

Game delayed due to rain??? I thought the Twins played indoors in a new domed stadium (with retractable roof).

Game called off due to rain. Unbelievable.
I lived in Houston which had the then "9th Wonder of the world" (Astrodome). They only had 1 game called off ever. Not due to the roof leaking. It was because all the streets in in the vicinity were flooded due to a hurricane that blew in off the Gulf of Mexico.

For some unknown reason, none of my online feeds are working. Still show the game delayed by rain. Sucks not to be able to watch the game.
But, CBSSportline shows the boxscore as Twins are up 2-0 on a 2 run HR by Cruz in the 2nd. Odorizzi has gone 4 innings of shutout ball, 1 hit, 0 BB's and 6 SO on 68 pitches.

Twins added a run on a sac fly but the Royals come back with 2 in the bottom of the 5th. 1st hitter hit a shllow fly for a double and the next man up hit a 2 run HR. Odorizzi has been almost exclusively been using his FB (boosted it to 93 mph) but the Royals bottom of the order are sitting on it and waiting on a mistake.
Duffey on in relief. Retired the side with 1 SO. 3-2 Twins after 5.

Final Twins 4-2 over the Royals. Game shortened to 7 innings (not sure if due to oncoming rain or new rule in light of Covid19). Rogers got the save but pitched a shaking top of the 7h. Gave up 2 hits and out of 16 pitches total only nine for strikes.

Twins lose the nightcap by the same 4-2 score. Berrios pitched poorly (5 hits, 4 BB's 84 pitches with only 50 strikes in 4 innings) and couldn't get Royals leadoff hitter out (Merrifield who was responsible for all their runs including a 3 run HR).

Dobnak on the hill for the Twins. Announcers jinxed him by saying repeatedly that in 49 innings he had only given up 1 HR dating back to last year in a relief role but none as a starter. Sure enough the next hitter promptly hit an opposite field HR to R.
Royal jump out to a 1-0 lead.

Dobnak ran the count to 3-0 after 2 outs and a 2nd Royal hits a solo HR to R.
10 of the 27 Royals HR's have been off Twins pitchers.
2-0 Royals.

Do-Hyoung Park @dohyoungpark now
Based on my #intense research, I believe this is only the third time Randy Dobnak has allowed multiple homers in a game since high school.
4/29/16 at Trevecca Nazarene (college) 5/20/19 vs. Mobile (Double-A) 8/16/20 vs. Kansas City (MLB)
