Do-Hyoung Park @dohyoungpark now Based on my #intense research, I believe this is only the third time Randy Dobnak has allowed multiple homers in a game since high school. 4/29/16 at Trevecca Nazarene (college) 5/20/19 vs. Mobile (Double-A) 8/16/20 vs. Kansas City (MLB) Neither HR hit off him was hit that hard. 1st opposite field one looked like it was going to the warning track but just kept carrying and made it to the 1 row of seats. 2nd one the batter lofted it more and it too carried into the stands a few rows deeper. Wind must be blowing out to R kinda like at Wrigley to L where all a batter had to do was get under a ball , get it up in the air and it would leave the park for a HR.

Kepler crushed a 2 run HR to R. No doubt about that one. Twins up 3-2 bottom of the 5th still no one out.

Dobnak out after 5 1/3 leaving 2 runners on board. Clippard (who wouldn't have been my choice to come in relief) induced a soft line drive to L that Rosario charged and made a diving catch that not only that saved a sure run, but the Twins got an inning ending DP.

May on in relief in the 6th. Couldn't throw anything for a strike especially his vaunted FB. Eventually settled down mainly using his slider and change up. Got out of the inning with 1 aboard by inducing a DP (Aaraez with a great barehand grab on an off target toss from Polanco and strong, accurate throw to first).
Duffey already up in the BP with May struggling will likely come in for the 7th.

Twins add another run off a lead off deep double to L by Avila. Pinch runner for him eventually came around to score.
4-2 Twins heading into the 8th.

Surprisingly, Rogers was called in for the 8th an inning early plus he pitched yesterday.
Gave up 1 harmless single to the R side with the shift on. Mainly relied on his breaking stuff with only a couple of FB's (93-94).

Romo in for the 9th to close the game. SO the side throwing 70-78 mph sliders and 1 CU but hit the right spots.
4-2 Twins final.

somewhere Molitor is smiling 4-2 Polanco Small ball sometimes works as effectively or more so than swinging for the fences all the time.

Wonderful strategy and execution after Avila's double to score the insurance run. Loved it.

Tuned in late (was watching a BB game). Twins get 2 in the 4th. Llead off HR by Cruz and then Buxton with a clutch 2 out single to left drove in Marwin from 2nd after the Royals' starter issued a free pass to him as well as Kepler.
Twins 2-0 after 4.
Wisler went 2 innings, 1 BB and 3 SO's. Smeltzer in his 3rd inning of work (1 hit against 3 SO's).

Smeltzer got 2 outs in the 5th but issued a BB. Clippard on in relief to face the Royals' best hitter (Merrifield) who hit a laser to L off the wall (1 foot higher and it would have gone out for a HR) but Rosario played it perfectly and threw out Merrifield trying to stretch it into a double (out by 4-5 steps).

Nice to see good pitching and defense on both sides I take it you mean our Twins, not the other side.
Twins have 2 aboard, 2 out with Marwin at the plate who has been one of our better hitters even if his average doesn't reflect it. Called strike 3 that was was definitely wide of the plate and he had a convo with the plate ump about it.
