Despite only having a high 80's FB that has pretty decent late movement on it with off speed junk, Civale (Indians starter) has fanned 8 through 4 innings.

Smeltzer given a 3rd inning to pitch despite struggling the last one while Wisler (who also sucks) is warming up in the pen. Smeltzer "smokes" the 1st 2 Indians hitters with 80 and 82 mph FB for 2 SO yet is yanked in favor of Wisler. I have no idea what Baldelli is thinking. Then there was an extended delay (15+ mins) after the pitching change as the umps apparently called the league like there's something to challenge.
All said and done, even the announcers had no clue what was the issue, play finally resumed, Wisler retired the hitter on a pop fly to short left on 2 pitches but you could tell he was frustrated by the delay already having used up his warm up throws 15+ mins earlier.

The reason for the long delay last inning was that the Indians were requesting a ruling whether they had any challenges left after challenging whether Kepler's lead off, ground rule double was 1) fair or foul (they lost) and 2) if it was a double or triple (they won and Kepler had to return to 2nd). So technically the Indians didn't lose the challenge but it took them until the 5th to request a ruling and it took 15 mins to figure it out. Bizarre.

Back to the game. Duffy pitches a flawless 7th fanning 2 on 12 pitches while May, struggling with control of his FB, strikes out the side (22 pitches) with 1 runner on board due to an error by Adrianza. Romo up in the pen to pitch the 9th.
Twins have gone down in order the last 4 innings. Another run would really help. Twins got 2 runners aboard in the bottom of the 8th but Cruz SO looking.
