Do-Hyoung Park @dohyoungpark 10m The #MNTwins placed Zack Littell on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain. Jorge Alcala will replace him on the 30-man roster. That's as a courtesy before re-assigning him, if possible to AAA, or have to risk putting him on waivers and, if unclaimed, he goes to our AAA team (or has minor league baseball been done away with?). He sucks. all minor league baseball was canx as far as I know

If Cimber (Indians) ever becomes available as a FA, would love to see him wearing a Twins uniform. Just mowed the hitters down with his submarine delivery.

Thanks for the confirming what I thought but was not sure.

Stashak with a nice inning. His change up was hanging high (no break on it at all) but he spotted his FB (93 mph tonight) well. Issued only his 2nd big league walk (against 30k) since being a late call up last September.
Rogers in to close out the 9th against the heart of the Indians order.

Rogers with a perfect 9th (2Ks). Velocity was a little down (FB at 93, 1 at 94, usually 95-96) because he's been used to close out the last 3 games in a row.

Is Donaldson day to day? Apparently. Strained a muscle while in the field. Didn't see it happen but didn't sound too serious.

Clippard is going to get the start of the series finale v. the Indians. Balldeli wants to give Homer Bailey (scheduled starter) 1 extra day of rest to pitch v. the Pirates. Obviously, Clippard will only go 1-3 innings tops with the rest of the game being bullpen by committee but why not start Smeltzer, Thorpe or Stashak (only pitched 1 inning last night)? Clippard sucks.

Despite my misgivings, Clippard retired the top of the Indians order. Still only has a high 80's FB that he mixes in with a high 70's/low 80s change up to make his FB look better.

Kepler led off with a ground rule double, Polanco singled him in so the Twins are on the board 1-0 after 1.

Garvey got a 2nd crack at the Indians since Polanco was caught stealing to end the 1st. Despite struggling at the plate (.133) to start the season, hit a 3-2 off speed pitch for solo HR. Opposing teams have been feeding him a steady diet of off speed stuff, but in this case, the change up was out over the plate about thigh high.

Clippard with 2 good innings (retired all 6 hitters). Now Smeltzter has taken over top of the 3rd and he too retired the side.

Smeltzer gave up a double and a run scoring single in his 2nd (and hopefully last) inning of work so it's 3-1 bottom of the 4th.
