Would you leave 30 million on the table? Would you do it on a gamble that the money you gave them in relief would be used properly to get the right guys? It was easy for Brady he stepped into a good situation and facilitated it staying that way, plus he had a fall back and once the wins came the endorsements also came. That model does not work beyond the rookie 4 year mark anymore. The closest we could have had was Purdy winning it last year and a couple more before his contract is up. It's just opinions bro. If I had made the kind of money KC made before the Atlanta contract you're damn right I'd be trying to win a Lombardi trophy, but that's me. He had already made well over $200m before departuring the Vikes. If you want to defend KC you have that right. I choose not to. For the record Brady took team friendly deals AFTER he'd already won a Lombardi because he valued his playing legacy. I'll ask you a question. Was KC a good value for our team given the money we spent or did he maximize HIS value. I'd say KC Was the winner and our beloved team was not. They had him on the cheap and the offers came in after the wins. He could afford to take the discount (although I still think there was money under the table). Plus having a wife at the time that made many times the amount he did also factored into the formula. Again in today's league they are out to get what they can while they can. Look at how many do not have a pot to piss in after having large contracts. Again you are fooling yourself if you would really leave 30 million on the table knowing it is your last contract.

I doubt we will ever really know the real answer of who wanted who ect. Whenβs the last time you heard a company, team, politician or person openly admit in public that they screwed the pooch and the ending results werenβt the goal? What you hear is the rah, rah, positive βit was our plan alwaysβ line of PR BS from both sides. All it does is feed those whom made their decisions for or against said topic or person and leaves zero opening for honest debate in reality. Are you saying losing Cousins was due to a screw up by Kam?Β I don't see that. I think it was more due to a major screw up by the Falcons organization giving a 36 year old QB coming off an Achilles rupture a 3 year contract with 100 million guaranteed.Β A QB, mind you, that has one playoff win in his entire career.Β Β Noβ¦more that if youβre remotely serious about keeping someone, you donβt ever let them get to the door, or in a spot to think about places outside your organizationβ¦. They put KC on a 1 year extension after being NFC champs. Most would consider that to be poor management if it were someone other than KCβ¦

When were they NFC Champs? They've never gotten to a NFC championship under KC. They won a one wild card game.
