During his welcome presser Kirk said he had the ATL playbook while being employed by minn. Will this lead to a tampering investigation of ATL?

When guys start agreeing to teams within an hour of the legal tampering period, there are obviously discussions going on while before it starts and I am sure every team does it. There are most likely a lot of discussions that go on at the combine and teams find a way to work away the restrictions. It doesn't really matter, if they waited until the legal period, the results would most probably still be the same, they would just be delayed.

I'm not sure I care unless it means Vikes could get some extra picks in 2025. ATL probably saved the Vikes from themselves by overpaying Kirk and letting the Vikings move on. I'll happily live through a horrible season (or 3) if it means the Vikings could finally find their own CJ Stroud/Mahomes/Allen/etc.

Vikings agreed to terms with a few guys early on day one, too.

Through the agents, Not through the players. That's when they get in trouble.

The league knows it needs to crack down on this.
Wouldn't surprise me if the Falcons and Eagles get punished here.

Kirk on Wednesday: "There's great people here. And it's not just the football team. I mean, I'm looking at the support staff. Meeting, calling yesterday, calling our head athletic trainer, talking to our head of PR, I'm thinking, we got good people here."
Cousins wasn't permitted to speak to anyone with the Falcons before 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
The NFL needs to crack down on this and send a message by giving the Vikings the Falcons' first round pick.

Besides being forced to swap 3rds the NFL also made Arizona give Philly their 5th round pick.

This connects to the KOC presser dot, where he used the term "illegal tampering." A specific allegation that implies direct knowledge of your player finalizing terms with a namable third party. Where the line gets blurred for us mere sourceless fans is when the media has been talking Falcons for months. Did all of this "news" the past few weeks just grow legs and happen? Has Kirk heading to Atlanta been an open secret this whole time? Shit, they served us an article saying Bill wanted Kirk real bad before they even knew if they could (ahm, would) hire him... There's something here... the draft pick talk is a separate thing (who doesn't want better draft positioning)

Fingers crossed that vikes might get something similar. Maybe Get a comp pick for Kirk leaving and another day 2 pick for 2025 when Vikings will be out of cap hell. Things seldom work that well for Vikings thoughβ¦
