Kinda sounds like sour grapes to me. If KAM was committed to keeping KC a Viking, he should have taken care of it a year or more ago. No sour grapes because I agree that KAM could have kept him if he wanted.Β But as Florito noted... Cousins said the silent part out loud and the NFL has penalized teams for tampering in the past.Β I think every team tampers with FA's; I'm just curious what happens to the pick if a team gets caught and penalized.Β My comment wasnβt meant at you but KAMβ¦should have locked up KC last season if KC was their guy for the long haul. To think that side conversations arenβt happening is pretty naive by Vikings FO if thatβs their belief.

From my understanding it's that Kirk Cousins basically offered up info in a press conference that he had been working with the Falcons (trainers, medical and others) before they were allowed to talk to him.

Personally, I think it should go to the aggrieved team instead of getting wiped off of the big board.

There is supposedly a mechanism where a team that tampers has to compensate a directly injured party. Dolphins lost what a 1st last year and I think a 3rd this year for tampering and throwing games. No other team was compensated for that though.

I think that most top tier FA's know what they are going to do after teams/agents talk during the combine. But, it is illegal and as "Flor i o" stated is that Cousins said the silent part out loud. As far as penalties; there was a "news dump" moments before the 2023 draft between Cardinals/Eagles because of impermissible contact with Jonathan Gannon. The Eagles moved up from about 95 to 65 because of it... and that was for a coach instead of salary capped QB.

I would love nothing more than for Darnald to become the QB he was supposed to be. But when I watch that video I just see a QB with happy feet behind a much better OL than we have that doesn't have a time clock in his head to get rid of the ball in the RZ. I don't think anyone ever questioned the guys arm.....it's a rocket and he can make every throw. It's always been about the unsettled nature of his demeanor and poor decision making that likely stems from an inability to process pre snap mixed with nerves. I tend to agree with the other poster....to me he looks a lot like Mullins with MUCH better arm!
I would LOVE for the light to come on tho because the guys arm talent it phenomenal.

Only time I seen happy feet was when the line was breaking down and he was trying to buy time to get the throw off.

I watched the vid looking for something, but what I saw was a βfirst readβ QB. Meaning, if the play evolves and the first read is open (or looks to come open), Darnold will make the throw. But if not, you arenβt getting much read progression at all, much less quick read progression. (SB Champion) Trent Dilfer comes to mind.
