Crap. Duffey gave up 3 hits, scoring 1. Uncharacteristically, he was leaving the ball out over the plate.
Game tied 1-1.

Valdez switched back to throwing breaking balls almost exclusively and retired the side.
Twins' meat of their order (best hitters) will be coming up the next 2 innings and need to make something happen. BP also needs to hold the tie. I'm sure they don't want to go to extra innings with the automatic runner starting at 2nd having been burned more than once.
Surprisingly, Baldele gives Duffey a 2nd inning to redeem himself and promptly issues a BB to the lead off hitter. Pulled in favor of...Rogers? What happened to Thielbar, who's been pitching great of late, if Baldeil wants to go lefty due to L/L matchups?

Rogers retires the side showing a little extra something on his FB (96 mph v. an average of 94 during the regular season except his 1st appearance). Also, his slider had a bit more bite than lately. Only need 10 pitches (7 for strikes). Will be interesting if he keeps Rogers in the 9th.

Yep. With only 10 pitches youd expect Rogers back.

Typical Twins. Playoffs start, and the offense disappears. Disgusting

Buxton SO on 3 straight Curves, Kepler flies out on 2 pitches and Cruz at least fouled off a few before SO swinging on an outside FB out of the zone...trying to pull the ball.
Fidel Castro in for the 9th.

2 straight softly hit balls that make it the outfield for singles. This is not the way I anticipated the Twins playing.
Announcers repeatedly stating the Twins are 0-16 (longest losing streak in the PO's) and now may be 0-17 unless Fidel gets out of the top of the 9th and the Twins string some hits or a HR for a walk off win.

Craptastic. Polanco with an easy grounder for the force at 2nd but threw the ball wide of bag and Arraez couldn't hold on for the out.
Bases loaded, 2 outs. Nail biting time.

I had to shut this shit off. Worse than watching the Vikings.

Fidel loses Altuvi (prolly 5'7") on a high 3-2 FB rather than go with his bread and butter slider. Unbelievable.
Polanco comes up in the bottom of the 9th. Hopefully, he can atone for his error that led to this lead change.
2-1 'Stros

I had to shut this shit off. Worse than watching the Vikings. Twins are playoff garbage! Nice job Polanco and Romo. Signed...a frustrated Minnesota fan.

Thiebar in for the L/L match up but gave up a line single to C scoring 2. So disappointing.

Doesn't matter if we're playing the Yanks, the Astros, the Phil Eagles or the SF 49rs, Minneapolis sports teams are as playoff-shy as you'll ever find.
