If you use the old dfart pick value charts, the overall #1 is worth 3000 points, #2 is 2600, #3 is 2200, and #25 (our pick) is only 720. www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.aspSo to move all the way to #1 from our spot, it would take our #1 and something worth the equivalent of the #2-3 overall. I've suggested before that a package of our 2020 #1, Cousins (if he agreed to a sign and trade), and another starter (maybe Rhodes) might do it. If you tried to do it with picks alone, it would probably take three high picks, something like #1 and #2 of 2020 and #1 of 2021. I've been on record here that it's almost never worth trading multiple high picks for one guy, but I would make an exception for Burrow.

Watching the play of both LSU and Clemson QBs is really a thing of beauty after watching Kirk all year. The pocket awareness that each of these guys have is just outstanding. One quick step sideways or front or back to avoid pressure. Wow. I guess I am just not used to seeing this so it stands out like a mountain.

I agree and felt the same way watching each of the other 3 playoff games. So painfully obvious how badly we need a QB who can move in the pocket.

If only we could get someone to take Cousins and Rhodes as part of that deal. They'd probably want Cook or Hunter plus etc.
Wud u give up our 1, Diggs plus what...? 3rd?

Do you think Burrows is that good / will translate? Just 1 yr sample size. How much better is he than Lawrence? (Other than the score in this game)

He had 60 TDs this year in a college season. Is it possible that he'll bomb out in the NFL? Sure, it's possible, but what I like about him is that he keeps his eyes down field, he moves well in the pocket, and he stays really cool, even if the pocket gets messy. I also like that he has obvious confidence without the over the top attitude of Manziel or Mayfield.

Ok. So, would the 25th pick, Diggs and a 3rd be enough to move up? Seems like it might be light, depending on how good a sales job can be done about Diggs' existing and larger future production.
What is 55's market value in trade? (using him bc recent contract). There are others.

Keep in mind we just wet the bed on choosing a QB.
How about....1, Diggs and Weatherly? Enuff? Just trying to find the price.

I donβt think we have enough cincy needs a QB but nobody in their right mind would pay cousins 31 million for one year and our 1st 3rd and diggs I donβt think cincy would bite on that

We wudnt have a huge salary on draft qb and Cousins has only 1 yr left.
So, we pay 14m of the 31m for Cinci. Lets say the draft Qb is 2m cost, that leaves 15m saved to spend on QB2 and DT or OL ... then draft/fa the other.
