Booth is trash and you can't ever have enough cornerback depth so i get why the team made the pick. He also seems to have a chip on his shoulder and likes hitting.

I do think this pick might point to a lack of confidence in Booth maybe Evans.
If The staff doesnβt see him as good enough or a fit then admit mistakes and move on.
It is also obvious Flores believes in more CBs and Safeties. He said you can never have too many.

I can say I like this pick a lot more than the 5β10β 170 lb CB we took last year in the 3rd!!

Evans seems to be the one that found the dog house at the end of the year.

Vikings needed a bigger, more physical CB for Flores. Flores would like to mix his schemes more than last year and play more man coverage IMO. Reports indicate he has a high football IQ and real skills as a blitzer. I really like Blackmon but he struggles with taller WRs and loses too many jump balls. Murphy is best in the slot. I had CB, IOL and DL listed as areas of need for today. I had RB, WR, and IOL as needs today. There were maybe 2 IDL left that might upgrade the room today except for 2 down NT types. CB I did not see as a need at all unless it was for elite talent on day 1. You wanted a big CB Hart is a better player and can play CB or S. I actually thought the CB/S was pretty full at this point and unless you were going large it was not that important. Truth is WR might be the biggest need atm. i agree. there were better OL prospects available in a thinning pool at his point with other CBs, such as this one, available later Hate the pick

Too small, too slow not long enough nor physical enough to play on the outside. As soon as he started playing full time late in the year OCβs started targeting him and it wasnβt pretty. Can you imagine him lining up over Keenan Allen 2x per year or Jamar Chaseβ¦game over!!!! Heβs decent depth but not a starter in this league. And even if he doesβ¦ he shouldnβt be. Heβs got pretty good technique and heβs feisty but that isnβt enough to overcome natural physical limitations. When you are 5-10 170 and a 4.5-4.6 CB speed wise you are too slow to stay with burners and no match for the 6β1β- 6β3β WRβs that weigh in at 200-215.

Hard not to like the length and way he plays β¦ but heβs so inexperienced for his age! If he was 21-22 Iβd like this pick a lot more. Just concerned by the time he figures it out heβll have peaked athletically and be entering decline. I like draft picks we are going to want to resign when there rookie contract is up. Heβs going to be 29!!! I laughed β¦ his NFL comp was Evans.

oh well. If he can play it's a win. Day three I don't worry about age.

He seemed to lumber a bit as a ball carrier on INTs, but that came back around for me on his blitzes; he's a big dude that runs on a line and isnt afraid of contact. Barely looks like a corner when he's in the backfield. I could see him being another versatile Flores guy.

Jackson may struggle adjusting to pro coverage. Heβs very grabby. Locates the ball in the air really well though.
I actually like McGlothernβs coverage ability much better. I think it translates to the pro game better. He could be a Pace Jr. level signing.
