Good pick. Given Orgon's pass heavy O, their DB's have seen plenty of snaps.

Reading some draft projections for him, "Day 2 value" is what turns up a lot. Looks like a nice pick for the 4th round, 3rd round value at least...

Our latest young corner to get torched each Sunday I like the idea and you cant teach size....sure hope he works out. Flores must have had enough of Evans and wants more competition. Looking forward to see if he can develop.

Big CB which was a need IMO. Should help on STs immediately.
I believe Flores would like to mix it up more and play more man coverage at times.

I cant get past the fact he is 25 this summer at a position where he will likely be falling off physically by the end of his first contract... Strange pick. 4th round I think you draft guys you project as being viable for a 2nd contract still.

I guess I have not seen the need since he is likely walking in as the prospective #6 CB and question if he even gets to suit up to make him a play for special teams week to week. Maybe he sets the world on fire? Let me ad in he has played like 14 high level college games? Bizarre pick in my mind for what they are building.

Would have preferred one of the OGs. Jacksonβs high RAS must have got KAMs attention.

Pandemic plus transfer portal (new) and for some, NIL - these all made many of the draftees older this 2024.

Pandemic plus transfer portal (new) and for some, NIL - these all made many of the draftees older this 2024. Age and 14 games of big boy football are the issues for me. And why does a guy leave Bama for Oregon on the D side of the ball? His college adventure started in 2017 and did not even play JUCO until 2019. It is just a very strange path he travelled. Let me say this another way, most day 3 picks you will generally get the value out of them in year 3 and 4 of rookie deal if they stick and getting age 28-29 seasons at that point is strange. 0 physical upside to him he will never be faster or more agile then he is right now. Add in he is viewed as raw meaning a year or 2 of development. I honestly would not draft anyone besides QB, OL, or DT at age 25 as those are really only positions that have a future past 29.

I like the pick. This guy is a 4th rounder, not a day one pick. He may not develop into a starter, but I'm very confident he will make the team.
You typically cannot expect starters past the 3rd round, but Jackson has something special, terrific size to go along with good (but not great) speed. I think he is a good fit for our needs.

Big CB which was a need IMO.Β Should help on STs immediately.Β Β I believe Flores would like to mix it up more and play more man coverage at times.Β Β I guess I have not seen the need since he is likely walking in as the prospective #6 CB and question if he even gets to suit up to make him a play for special teams week to week. Maybe he sets the world on fire? Let me ad in he has played like 14 high level college games? Bizarre pick in my mind for what they are building.Β I donβt hate or love the pick. If we were going CB in Rd 4 I was hoping for TJ Tampa. More polished, 3 years younger, faster and has the type of build that should be less prone to injury and has just as much scheme flex. But I donβt hate the pick. I like Jacksonβs length, physicality, scheme flex and the fact he looks back for the ball. Just not a fan of his age, how handsy he is and lack of speed. Feel like at 25 there is less upside to be developed and the fact that at 25 heβs only started something like 14 gamesβ¦ call me crazy but that should set off some alarm bells!! Tend to agree with Roo on this oneβ¦ just doesnβt make a lot of sense.
