I have gotten repeatedly blasted on here for being critical of Kwesi for poor drafts, poor team vision, questionable money prioritization, not getting return on the players and an inability to successfully negotiate with our own players and other GMβs resulting in playing from behind in negotiations. It hasnβt been all bad but the bad has far outweighed the good thus far and I have been disappointed as he WAS the GM I rooted for.
So I found it interesting when the Athletic released an article recently stating no GM is on a hotter seat than Kwesi going into tomorrow for most of the reasons listed above. According the the author of the article, KOC is held in much higher regard than Kwesi right now with the Vikings brass and Kwesi will need to pull off a big win on draft day to secure an extension. Iβm still pulling for him, because that will be good news for us, but for all the people who think I just love to be critical and donβt have a clueβ¦apparently the Vikings brass shares a lot of my concerns and views.

It will be a big draft for the Vikings. GM needs to take a chance to find QB and needs to get a team to trade for the move up. I think Jefferson will be tossed into the trade to make it happen if needed to get the guy KOC wants. There some hope this is the first draft with the "new" scouts. For this reason I will gulp the purple kool-aid and hope we get it right and lucky.

Will we be satisfied with tomorrow's draft results, or will we want to run kwesi out of town?

The guy that hired OβConnell and Flores and whose team was going to playoffs if that one thing hadnβt of happened is in danger?

Some posters just need to make it all about themselves. Anyone can find an article somewhere with some jamoke's opinion being similar to theirs. Has Kwesi been perfect? No. First draft was not so good. Second draft was better. This draft will put any GM in the Vikes' position on the hot seat as the right QB must be chosen or it will have long term effects on the organization. Goes without saying but if you want me to feel bad for poor Redzy that your long winded takes aren't loved by all, then I'll say it. Poor Redzy. The Vikes will be in great shape cap wise after year three of his reign.

F this draft up and anyone in KAM's position would instantly be on the hot seat.
That's just reality. Our guys shinning would my preference.

Kwesi has only been GM for two years and you have been critical of him constantly. Must have missed the window you were cheering for him. LMAO!
As far as the HOT seat crap I really doubt it is more than wishful thinking by some. People will believe what they want so no real damage.
IMO a speculation article in the Athletic is not going to do much to alleviate your concerns that some believe you are constantly critical and have no clue.

And my point is my views appear to be shared by the Vikings brass which means my concerns are justified by the people in the know. Other than a few on this board wearing purple sunglasses, most realize Kwesi has largely been a disappointment thus far. Again, itβs not been all badβ¦ but heβs looked mostly over his head from the get go in multiple facets of the job.

I am also pretty confident that the Vikings will not know how they did in the 2024 NFL draft and certainly not if they selected the 'right' QB. Also believe KOC will be tied to the new QB as much or more than Kwesi.

When KAM & KOC came on board, i figured to cut them slack for 3 years in order to gain experience and get this team set on a path to success. They are fair game after this year.π€£

It's just a Headline! I think up the name is interchangeable with many other HCs, GMs and owners elsewhere.
