They could have gotten Diggs and a pick for their 1st rounder too.
Nico Collins and Tank Dell are pretty good WR's. So, it doesn't make sense to me for them to blow-up the teams chemistry by bringing in a constant malcontent, that cares more about their own stats than team wins, and is going to constantly be in Strouds ear to throw him the ball.

This could be the beginning of Diggs fading into obscurity. Diggs will do what he's does everywhere. He'll be a great addition until he's not. Only question at this point is timing.

I was really under the belief that the Kwesi was the one making the moves to make sure we had the ammo to move & get a top 5 pick. That perhaps we even had a wink wink deal of we will take 11 & 23 if youβre guy is there.
Man I hope itβs BS that it was the Texans doing since most trade charts say we lost in terms of value. It better not keep being that Kwesi is the punching bag for the rest of the GMβs in the NFL.
I felt really good about us risking it to get the franchise QB we all want but maybe itβs wait and see who drops & get another piece to the defense. πππ€π€π€·π€·

It was reported earlier that Houston approached Vikings about the trade.
I think it was a good move for the Vikings. Ability to move up plus if we don't I like the prospects that will be available at 11 and 23.

x.com/TexansCommenter/status/1775699943329587406Adam Schefter reports the Texans initiated the trade (out of 23) with Minnesota so Houston could acquire the draft capital to trade for a player like Stefon Diggs. (there's a short video clip of Shefter at the link) SO a 2nd and a 6th this year and a 2nd next are better than a 1st this year in draft capital? Where? In real life or some obscure value chart?

Guess it depends on how a chart values future picks. Generally a future pick is downgraded to a top of the next round for trading purposes so a future 2nd is viewed as a top end 3rd for value.

That is from my inside source, his name is common sense.

The Houston logo. The Schefter quote, "people thought the Vikings were being aggressive it was actually the Texans." The nature of his comment raining on our parade... It's a joke to break some news apparently everybody already knows.

Correct, two things can be true, the Texans wanted to trade and the vikings were looking for one.

Guess it depends on how a chart values future picks. Generally a future pick is downgraded to a top of the next round for trading purposes so a future 2nd is viewed as a top end 3rd for value. Hereβs an article from Pro Football Network www.profootballnetwork.com/who-won-vikings-texans-pre-draft-trade-nfl-draft-trade-value-chart/ Who Won the Trade? NFL Draft Trade Value Chart Picks an Obvious Winner While itβs an aggressive move by the Vikings to attack their roster now, according to one NFL Draft trade value chart by Over the Cap, itβs clear that the Texans got the better end of this trade. Each pick in the draft is assigned a value, with the range in scale going as high as 3,000 for the No. 1 overall pick, all the way to 190 for the last selection. With the Texans receiving picks 42 (1,106), 188 (346), and a 2025 second-round pick (valued as the lowest second-round selection for fairness 687), Houston netted a total point intake of 2,139. The Vikings, who are looking for the here and now when it comes to talent acquisition with the upward move, collected picks No. 23 (1,411) and No. 232 (240), totaling 1,651. Minnesota secured the early selection in this yearβs draft giving them the earliest picks and the chance to attack the best talent in this yearβs draft, but overall, Houston won the trade by a significant margin.
