Trade the two first rounders and probably a little something else to get to number 2, take Maye or Daniels, then ship JJ to the cards or pats for the 3rd or 4th overall and take Marvin Harrison JR and have both the studs on rookie deals and sign who ya gotta sign starting next year. I think to get to #2, the 'little something else' would have to include JJ. You're asking another team to forgo drafting a franchise QB. It's going to be expensive

It's going to be expensive I don't think it would require JJ, but most likely the 2025 1st round pick and a little more.

Moving JJ is extremely dependent on how resistant he has been to contract negotiations so far. Is it just a tiny more nudging to get him signed or is he truly steadfast on exploring free agency? If it is deemed to be the latter, then it's time to move him.

1) 11 and 23 to the Pats for 3rd pick and draft Maye or Daniels.
2) 11 and 23 to the Chargers for Justin Herbert
Which would you choose?

Herbert has 2 years left on his, IIRC. Why go back into cap hell in 2 years when you have the chance for a top QB on a 5 year rookie contract? Fear of failure? No balls, no blue chips.

Vikings have all the cards, NOT JJ. He's going to bitch? SO what? Let him.

It is a pretty solid WR draft, no? I wonder if San Diego, who wonβt be able to draft Harrison and just dropped two WRs, would send 5 to the Vikes for Jefferson. Then the Vikes draft the QB at 5, another first round WR, and a first round defensive player.
Not that I think that KAM is doing anything other than seeking to extend Jefferson.

Herbert is the real deal. Greater than 50% chance that Maye or Danielβs bust, like most 1st round pick QBs do - even high first rounders.
