Always take the proven guy, Herbert to JJ would be ridiculous Cousins to JJ was ridiculous and what did it get us again? You guys complain about 45 years of getting other teams' castoffs, then immediately propose getting someone else's castoff because he's "proven." Don't care. As I said, no balls, no blue chips.

Herbert aint a castoff and he is like 10 years younger then Kirk.

Moving JJ is extremely dependent on how resistant he has been to contract negotiations so far. Is it just a tiny more nudging to get him signed or is he truly steadfast on exploring free agency? If it is deemed to be the latter, then it's time to move him. What possible reason do they have to do anything with him until 2027? He's starting his 5th year option and can be franchised for 2 more. Vikings have all the cards, NOT JJ. He's going to bitch? SO what? Let him. Absolutely True. Vikings do have all the cards. They can get a boatload for a trade. Or they can keep an unhappy receiver on a massive-cost franchise tag.

1) 11 and 23 to the Pats for 3rd pick and draft Maye or Daniels. 2) 11 and 23 to the Chargers for Justin Herbert Which would you choose? Obviously number 2. The Chargers would never offer that deal Maybe Harbaugh wants to draft JJM and have his own guy.

I'd go Hebert. But only if JJ then agrees to signing. That frees my franchise tag for Hebert in 2026 (I believe?). Which gives me both 2025 & 26 as "windows of opportunity".

According to the point system assigned to picks, pick 11 and 23 combined are slightly more than the points assigned to the 3rd overall pick. I'm guessing the Vikings plan is to move up to 3.

Herbert has 2 years left on his, IIRC. Why go back into cap hell in 2 years when you have the chance for a top QB on a 5 year rookie contract? Fear of failure? No balls, no blue chips. Have to take a look... Herbert has a lot of G money, but his option bonuses start 3-22-24 and Chargers are only on the hook for 15M or so in prorated. So it is doable for them to trade him actually, but it would need to be before next Friday and isn't he a major part of the Reason Jim chose that job? Would be interesting to see how many 1sts he would cost? 3, 4, 5?

Trade the two first rounders and probably a little something else to get to number 2, take Maye or Daniels, then ship JJ to the cards or pats for the 3rd or 4th overall and take Marvin Harrison JR and have both the studs on rookie deals and sign who ya gotta sign starting next year. I think the 1st 2 picks will go for the 3rd over all because Washington needs qb don't they? But if they could do that and pick up Marvin Harrison JR for JJ it would be a big win
