Josh Allen was also a trade up and the Bills have not sucked because of the trade they made. I would rather try to win a championship instead of staying in the middle like the Vikings have, even if it means we might have some down years. we won 13 games two years ago with a defense that couldnt stop my towns pop warner team and an offensive line that couldnt block that same teams defensive line. not to mention how many playoffs we have vs the rest of the leagueΒ but i know its fun to love amateurs How many championships do we have as a result?

Yes there is Mahomes. At # 10 if I recall. Chances are that about 1.5 of these QBs ends up being worth the pick. If they love a guy, then do it. But make sure youβre actually going to get him. Makes no sense to trade up now to 3 or 4 and then not end up getting your guy.. They do not have to trade for one now and can wait to execute a trade on draft day that has already been agreed on. Lot of 1st round trades are agreed on in principle before the draft but teams want to see how things play out. And thatβs exactly the way we should do this. There are some prominent people who cover the Vikes saying theyβll be surprised if we donβt trade up in the next day or two. Makes no sense.

Vikings are actually a pretty good landing spot for a rookie with average OL and high end weapons. Development has a lot to do with it and having a good situation does also. Here is the thing you can't pick the right guy if you never pick...

If you're not excited, you're dead inside.
Is it because a side effect of Paxil is rectal bleeding?

Im not in the camp that we need to trade up at all costs, but I think if you have the mentality in sports of βtake what youβre givenβ instead of βtake what you wantβ, youβll never win a championship.

Why you donβt sell the farm to draft a QB: About that QB class from the 2022 NFL Draft... 1 (20) Kenny Pickett - Traded 3 (74) Desmond Ridder - Traded 3 (86) Malik Willis - Titans QB3 3 (94) Matt Corral - Birmingham Stallions (UFL) 4 (137) Bailey Zappe - Patriots QB2 5 (144) Sam Howell - Traded x.com/dpbrugler/status/1768714321238929900?s=20That would be a great point except no one sold the farm for any of those QBs.

IF they really believe in one of these guys and they can get him in a trade-up, I'm all for it. But I'm talking a very high level of confidence (relative to the confidence you can have in any draft choice that's never played a down in the NFL).
You know, there are a lot of posters here who consistently rant about KAM's poor drafts. If that is the case, that sounds like an even better reason to take a shot at a QB. If we expect that he'll just screw up those draft choices anyway if they do keep all their picks, what do we really have to lose?

Chances are VERY good that in the second there will be a QB who has the exact same chance of success as the top 3 do.

Been a long time since Brett or Drew were drafted in the 2nd. Red Rifle the best from the last 20 years? Or did you mean Derek Carr?
