Itโs the college football championship game. A chance to see two of the top six quarterbacks play before the NFL Draft. It should be interesting, even for those who donโt regularly watch college football.

I agree. Should be a LOT of fun to watch. I will be taking notes and sharing my takes with the Vikings. Wish it was a paid gig.

Penix looking like the 11th pick of the 5th round so far, think he will shake off and redeem himself

Penix missing his WR wide open in 4th down is not what great QBs do. It was a simple throw too, just missed his guy

Huskies are physically outclassed but Penix has a lot of cool and moxie in a game that they should be blown out of the building.

Big time play by Penix on 4th down to get them back in the game, the way he was looking right and then quickly looked back to left when the 1st option was covered was impressive

Pretty simple progression. Neither QB has blown my socks off.

Penix >> McCarthy IMO (as a NFL prospect).
McCarthy wins a ton because UM is just a super dominant team and he's a game manager. His actual arm talent though is probably more like a 2nd-3rd round QB. Great college qb but I don't think he'll be very good as a pro.
Penix injury history scares the hell out of me but watching him he's constantly asked to make big throws, he goes through a lot of progressions, etc. I think he'll be more likely to translate to the pros in part because he's got the cannon arm AND is accurate. Weird throwing motion but I'll be damned if it doesn't work.

Michigan up 17-10 at halftime, so still anyone's game to win. Instead of the quarterbacks, the big difference is Michigan outrushing Washington 209-32.

What were Penixs injuries 2 ACLs and I believe 2 separated shoulders. Rumors are that some teams have already put him on the no draft board.

Penix actually got away with a couple in the first half, but he forced a lot of things in this game. Shame looks like his own OL injured him.
