Good to see that KOC has the stones to start Jaren Hall. This is the right move. π

Whatβs the over/under on Hall finishing the game without being injured?

Nothing to lose, everything to gain. Absolutely. The Vikings could very well lose this game, but this a good test for Hall. I see us letting Dobbs and Mullens walk this off-season, so it would be nice to know if Hall is worth developing.

Whatβs the over/under on Hall finishing the game without being injured? Based on his college injury history and the poor o line play for the last month, he will take some hits but hopefully he can avoid his head bouncing off the ground this time.

The right move so Iβm surprised that KOC made. A week late and a dollar short but happy to see Hall get a shot. Hopefully, he can stay healthy and play more than two series.

Be great if Hall plays well enough to at least look like he has a place in this league. Backup or starter.

This is 100 percent the right move.
Itβs easy for fans to say to change a failing QB immediately but it is more complicated than that when you are the boss of a team.
Anyone on this board who is in the C-Suite understands how people can fall in factions quickly and tear your team apart if they felt wronged. Obvious decisions cannot be made as quickly as most would want because you kind of have to have everyone buying into the alternate route to mitigate the damage that large groups can cause.
KOC did the right thing at the right time.
I have been watching this team since the 70βs and all of this talk about switching head coaches is ludicrous. Let Kevin pick his QB to ride with in the 2024 draft and I truly believe that he will one day be the first coach to hoist a Lombardi for this franchise.

The main reason KOC was hired was to find a long term solution at QB. Zimmer hated QBs and Rick was completely useless at drafting them. KOC needs to find his guy in this years draft and then tell KAM to find a way to get him. This should be his one and only shot. Hopefully, the Wilfs learned their lesson that you donβt get a decade in the NFL to build a SB champ.

Ok, KOC has been here two years and weβre still talking about bringing Kirk back next year because we donβt have a drafted solution unless Hall surprises. If we draft a QB in the first this year and he turns out to be a bust after 2024 and 2025, youβre going to give KOC a 5th draft to find someone?

If we haven't found a young QB by the start of the 2026 season then everyone should be fired. Even if they bring Kirk back he won't be here in three years and playing well at that age. If KOC and Kwesi can't find a guy by then, it's time to move on.

If KOC and Kwesi can't find a guy by then, it's time to move on. With protection he could still be playing well at that age, however, having said that. i totally agree if they haven't found a replacement by then then it is time to move on. Even if they have a bridge veteran but know they have thier guy developing would be good. Lets hope Hall is their guy and all this can be put to bed.

Hopefully the second time is enough for this franchise to quit hiring OCs with zero experience to be the head coach. What? You'd prefer hiring an old retread that's already been fired at least once to a young coach coming up? Maybe KOC isn't working out, but there are a BUNCH of "OCs with zero experience" who have become excellent HCs. I'd rather have that than an already proven loser.
