KJ had 75 targets in '23 and Hockenson had 127 targets. Those targets can go to a #3 WR at least until Hock gets on the field later in the season.

Sticking point will be money. A lot of these WRs donβt realize when theyβre on the down slide of their career and still Ask for big bucks.

If Harry is playing meaningful snaps this season then it's going to be a bad season.

βAll heβs done since he got here β heβs physical in the run game,β Vikings head coach Kevin OβConnell told reporters Wednesday, per the team. βHe provides something a little different at his size than we have in the room. We have many capable blockers but he brings a level of physicality.β βAnd then contested catch, you guys probably saw a lot of the plays he made in training camp in 1-on-1 situations,β βThen I think he fits as a savvy, kind of a guy thatβs played some football, fits in that group really well. βDifferent skillset, but yet we can find ways for him to be effective and looking forward to seeing him get a little bit more involved.β Is Laquon Treadwell coming back?

Watched these highlights of Harry. He seems a little slow, doesn't separate from defenders but is big enough to use his body and reach to make catches. Like to see a third receiver that can separate better than him.

I like Brandon Powell more as #4; but, I think he is capable of giving plenty of good snaps as the #3. *as long as he isn't in the "tush push"

Vikings have a good sized platoon of WRs on the roster. I suspect they'll look over that herd of guys to see if one of them stands out before bringing in anyone else, otherwise it made no sense to sign all of those guys. None of them signed for free. Hopefully one of them will prove he's worth retaining -- you know, something like some guy named Adam something-or-other did about 11 years ago. It wouldn't surprise me if they thought they'd give that success another try. If they all bomb, no problem. It's still 4 months before the RS after all.

They currently do not have a receiver behind Addison making any real NFL money. Nailor 3rd year min and small prorated bonus portion, Sherfield and Harry make small money, and rest are on league min with no G.

Jalen Nailor did not seize his opportunity last season when Justin Jefferson was out for seven games. Maybe Trishton Jackson or Trent Sherfield can step up.

Nailor 3rd year min and small prorated bonus portion, Sherfield and Harry make small money, and rest are on league min with no G. That small money got them in the door which is all money like that is meant to do in the NFL. If they have talent, let them showcase it and they'll get a real contract. If they don't, they got a nice payday and bragging rights at the neighborhood bar. There is also the possibility the Vikings are already perfectly content with running Powell out as the 3rd WR just like they did last year. There is also the uncomfortably glaring fact the Vikings have a bare cupboard when it comes to 2025 draft capital, and there's no way they trade a 1st or a '26 pick for another WR. IMO -- and all it is, is IMO -- they stick with Powell or one of the other guys on the roster and depend on JJ, JA, Hock, Jones, and "to whom it may concern" as the 3rd WR. Whoever it is is going to be the last man on the QB's progression for damned sure!

Jackson got his jersey ripped off his back and handed to JJM. Did JJM promise to compensate him for it when he signs his contract? Anyone know what happened there?

Side Bar....Is it just me or does JJ look short in this pic? O'Connell looks like he's towering over him even with JJ wearing a cap!

McCarthy measured 6' 2.5" at combine. I would assume that is accurate so he is not real tall for a QB. Taller than Williams, Nix and Rattler out of this class. KOC is probably in dress shoes and McCarthy sneakers which will add. Of note. Kwesi is a pretty tall guy for being in waaaaay over his head.
