We had 30 players participate in the Week 2 Predict the Score Contest. Congratulations to cougar00, whose guess of 24-20 Eagles and papurple, whose guess of 27-17 Eagles were the closest to the actual final score of 24-7 Eagles, off by 13 points. You can click on the link below to see all of the reults from the Predict the Score Contest.
The Vikings (1-1) host the Detroit Lions (1-1) this Sunday at US Bank Stadium. Kickoff is set for Noon CST and the game will be carried on Fox. Please reply with your guess of the final score by kickoff.
The Vikings will be licking their wounds as they try to rebound from their lackluster week two trip to Philadelphia. The Lions, on the other hand, must be feeling a little confident after averaging 35.5 points per game on offense. Their defense is giving up an average of 32.5 points in that same stretch so they aren't blowing teams away, but these aren't the helpless kitties of a few years ago. If the Vikings don't get back on track in a hurry, they could find themselves 1-2 and looking up at the Lions in the division standings.
Hopefully, the friendly confines of US Bank Stadium will have the Vikings looking more like their Week 1 version on Sunday. The Vikings offense better come out firing on all cylinders because their defense does not make me believe they will win many low scoring games this year. Jared Goff may not be a top tier quarterback, but Jalen Hurts looked like Aaron Rodgers in his prime against this Vikings defense on Monday night.
I'm putting the purple shades back on for this game. Let's see how KOC handles things after a little adversity. I think the Vikings pull out a high scoring game.
Lions 30
Vikings 34
