I was there todayβ¦
-The new punter Wright punts noticeably further than Berry, but theyβre really low. One punt was around 80yrds
-Rookie WR Hennigan dropped four punts in a row and was visibly frustrated
-Booth and Bisi Johnson got into it a bit and had to be separated
-Mond looked bad, fumbled a snap that went 10 yds to the left
-ISM beat Dantzler for a big gain, looked like ISM was thrown down after stepping out of bounds (crowd booed)
-Didnβt see Kene Nwangwu anywhere
-Ty Chandler looked fast against the 2nd defense, but did have a fumble and had to do push-ups
-Nailor looked fast too, but saw him drop at least two during drills and 11on11
-Cousins had a few plays that looked like heβs purposefully trying to get the ball out quicker from a shorter drop (three steps?). These werenβt very successful, threw a pick and the only other completions were to Cook. It looks like we do better on the longer passes at this point
Thats about all I remember, other than the kids behind us yelling funny nonsense including βwow, a one-handerβ βwhatβs a one-hander?β

Looks like Bradbury is in mid season form. Yep,DTs around the league are ready to sack Kirk with the back of Bradburyβs head.

Looks like Bradbury is in mid season form. Off-season, pre-season, mid-season, post-season, does it really matter? Oh yeah, I forgot. He always stars in the Underwear Olympics. I wonder whether he could get a deal with Under Armor...

Lets hope Davidson keeps progressing. Coaches seemed to have liked him from the jump and would answer a lot of questions moving forward.

Think we are going to miss Conklin this year, if Smith is out again, we have no one else.

I have some hope for Zach Davison this year. If he can grow he has all the physical tools to be a stud. I am interested to see what he does this preseason. PA said on Kfan that he was his big surprise on this years team. All reports are that he has taken a monumental leap from rookie year to this year. Considering he wasnβt good last year heβd need that just to be a fringe player but Iβm hoping he earns being our #2 this year and being a threat in certain situations.

Last time, I projected the Vikings would keep two quarterbacks in the hopes that Mond would overtake Mannion with a fully healthy offseason. While the Vikings are making it clear that Mond and Mannion are battling for the backup quarterback spot by rotating them in training camp, Mannion has far more experience with full-speed reps and has performed better in those reps. Mond seems robotic and takes too long to decide to get rid of the ball. He hasnβt made up for it with consistent big plays or precise passing, so he seems poorly suited to be a backup. He still has potential, however, and if he can speed up his process, his arm strength and athleticism would be an intriguing option down the road. Is this your assessment? Were you at camp today?

DT Harrison Phillips just put C Garrett Bradbury on the ground with a power rush. β’The drills at the start of the day taught us that the 1st team guards look strong, our tackles look good but Hunter and Smith look better, and Bradbury may as well be a traffic cone. This should be concerning, but I guess after watching it for 3 years in a row you'd have to be a fool to expect anything else.
