The eye test is all you need to make a decision on Zim. The constant confusion on offense and puzzling inconsistencies. The ineptitude on defense for over 2 years running despite drafting and signing a boatload of players have made little difference for a bottom of the league ranking. His formula is not working and hasnβt for years. Zim prefers playing street FA's to rookies.

The Wilfβs better not hesitate if they are going to make a move.
The Bears are assuredly getting rid of Nagy and the best candidates need to know what is available to them.

Anyone on this board. Seriously, as bad as Zimmer is, no one here knows nearly as much as we think we do, and none of us have had the pressure of making in-game decisions. Agreed, but we don't have to be coaches to know a bad one. We've certainly had enough experience with them. It says something about Viking fans when the coach they revere as the best we've ever had went 0-4 in SBs, and the last one of those was almost half a century ago. We've endured 3 owners, 3 stadiums (4 counting two years at the U,) 9 HCs, an entire battalion of assistant coaches, several of whom have gone elsewhere as HCs to win a SB, and altogether too many seasons of high hope followed by completely idiotic endings such as Favre's INT, Poole's INT in the EZ, 41-donut, Pearson's push off, and a dozen others. I remember the Wilf's first PC after buying the team. They promised to "bring a championship to MN." It's been 16 years since that promise, and we're no closer today (In fact much farther away!) than we were that day when Red McComb's took is stupid "Purple Prahd!" back to Texas. It's time the Wilfs shoot, shit, or get off the pot. I give you credit for one thing. You tried with Zim and Rick, we hoped, but they crapped the bed. We've stayed fans through those 60 years because we've always had hope. There is no hope with this bunch.Β I totally agree that we as fans can tell a bad coach when we see one, through long experience. That still doesn't mean that any of us could do a better job than Zimmer.

Xavier Woods on the Lionsβ game-winning touchdown: βWe were aligned correctly. We just didnβt execute.β They were aligned "correctly" for the wrong defensive call.

Zim is cooked here . Too many issues this season that fall on his doorstep. When a defensive coach D stinks now for a few seasons itβs end of the line .

I can do better. Without any doubt I absolutely know that I can do better than he did it that game and the Cowboys game. PERIOD!

Zim was a good coach at one point but game passes people by. Reality is he can still probably be a good DC if he is hired to be a DC and a DC only.
Denny was a good coach but it got stale.

I donβt think we have anyone who could step in outside of Patterson What? I challenge you right here and now. Name one person on this earth that couldn't do better? You could not do better.

Bottom line comes back to only blitzing on one down for that entire drive. The one time they blitzed, Goff chucked it up and Breeland should have had a pick. But as always, Zimmer coaches scared. He traded yards for clock and got burnt on the last play. Stupid, gutless coaching. No excuse.

Had that issue a few years back didn't we? Looked like they had 4 DB's all lined up even to each other on that play.Pretty much looked like the design of that defense.

Yep, and Woods did the exact same thing as Dantzler. The scheme sucked Pete.
