NFL network just lauded how great Wilson was rolling left throwing back against the grain to the right hash... Umm that's got INT written all over it. update; Bucky Brooks just said Mayfield is his #3 tackle, he has Darrisaw at #5... I am a Michigan fan and I do not agree with that. I have said Mayfield has huge upside, but I would have a hard time drafting him over Darrisaw. We did attend Michigan Pro Day and I hope we sent McCardell because Nico is worth taking a look at. McGrone is a Vikings type LB also(4th maybe?). Kwity Paye came in under listed height otherwise checked all the boxes. We have no need at FB so Mason not in play, and I hope we don't bring Nordin in to look at for kicker. I don’t disagree with your take on Mason and that’s likely the Vikings take also but I’d love to have him. I wouldn’t see him as a replacement for Ham who is a different player but with the emphasis this team puts on the run game you give Mason some of the FB reps especially on short yardage where Mason would be a beast. He could get more reps in line as your blocking TE which is where his roster spot would have to come from. He can catch a little too, also would be a great special teams guy. Likely won’t happen but they’d get more out of having a guy like Mason on the 53 than they did last year from guys like Osborn or Chisena and some others.

Just saying as a Michigan fan Nico and McGrone are interesting mid round prospects for Vikings and it sounds like they have talked with Evans. Michigan did not do well in the 6 games last year, but some interesting players from the squad. Sadly Nico is starting to get steam going and do not think he would be an option until Ravens 3rd and he might be gone by then. Something is wrong with Harbaugh and he brings the talent in but he is not getting what he should from the talent. They got a 5 star QB (kind of split on 5 star or high 4) this year so maybe it changes? Another bad sign for Harbaugh is a number of his former players are performing better in the Pro's then at Michigan. Obviously just traded for one of them that has not.

LMAO
coach Kyle Whittingham. “It’s because we don’t have anybody, not one player, has made himself eligible for the draft

Miami Hurricanes defensive end Gregory Rousseau ran a 4.74 in the 40 during his Pro Day workout at UM on Monday afternoon. Rousseau officially measured in at 6-feet-6.5 and 266 pounds with 11-inch hands and an 83-inch wingspan. Rousseau posted a 30-inch vertical jump with 21 reps on the bench press at 225 pounds. He showed impressive explosiveness with a 9-feet-7 in the broad jump. 21 reps is not that bad for a guy with arms that long.

That is really funny take. Understand I like Phillips but he basically has 2 moves and relies on his athletic ability (which is great) to beat tackles. What I saw were 2 moves from him and he has a tendency to be overaggressive which doesn't hurt his pass rush, but he runs himself out of running plays. I think Teerlink would have loved him. When I watched Rousseau play he bull rushed, speed rushed, has a swim move, did a couple sack ole' moves on inside rush, and actually his ability to slide inside is a positive for the Vikings scheme. Honestly he lined up almost always at LDE with hand in the dirt when I watched 2019 Miami games, Phillips switched sides and had like 40-50% of his snaps as a standup rusher, and Paye is the only one of the 3 I saw regularly line up all over the DL. Rousseau has a really unique stunt style that maybe this writer mistook for inside pass rush? They stunted with him a lot, but he was lined up at LDE virtually every play. Maybe I should watch more games? Rousseau was certainly a better edge setter vs the run and was quicker to collapse inside on runs between the tackle then Phillips in the games I watched. Phillips jumps off the screen at you but I found Rousseau to be more consistent. Paye is kind of between the 2 as he jumps on the screen like Phillips, but you can tell he is patient and works to diagnose the play. I would rate them Paye, Rousseau, and then Phillips. Phillips looks rawer to me then the other 2 honestly, but man he is exciting to watch!

Dyami Brown had a really good workout and that is really solid and measurements about as good as he could have hoped for. Some talk of him busting into the top 20. Not really paying much attention to solidly 1st and 2nd round graded WR's this year though.

Fields had a better pro day than Wilson or Jones Fields has talent the question is if he has the stuff to be a QB in the NFL. His offense and the talent on it made him a 1 read QB. I think he and Kyler Murray are very similar talent wise.

Fields had a better pro day than Wilson or Jones His offense and the talent on it made him a 1 read QB. Bucky Brooks addressed this today, and it is a common falsehood about Fields, what he said was he has very active eyes that move from read to read well, what he needs to do at the next level is make decisions a bit quicker. This may have been due to him not needing to be in a hurry at OS due to the team around him.
