Jon Heyman @jonheyman now
The Twins and Nelson Cruz are in touch but apparently still have work to do. Cruz is clearly their first choice, not only for his bat but his presence. But they could consider Marcell Ozuna if talks don’t progress. Strange dynamic since universal DH situation remains unsettled.

I'm guessing the Twins are offering a one year deal and Cruz wants at least 2.
Should have kept Rosario and moved on from Cruz as much as I liked him.

Twins and Cruz agree to 1 year 13 mil That's a fair deal. Good the Twins were able to come to terms with Cruz after the departure of Rosario who I have a feeling will be missed more than most fans think.

Hopefully he improves contact on the low outside corner.

Hopefully he improves contact on the low outside corner. It's not just the down and away pitches. He tries to pull anything on the outer part of plate. He has the power to take those pitches to RF but he either swings and misses or hits a weak grounder to the left side. If only the Twins would hire me to be their batting coach, I'd turn him around as well as Sano.
