According to Mark Feinsand and Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com, the Twins have expressed interest in a reunion with free agent utilityman Marwin Gonzalez.
It's been a very quiet winter so far for Gonzalez, who posted a rough .211/.286/.320 batting line over 53 games (199 plate appearances) last season with Minnesota. He can play all over the diamond defensively, and rates quite well at a couple positions, but his terrific 2017 with the Astros looks like a serious career outlier at this point. And those numbers are marred by the sign-stealing operation that went on that year in Houston. Source: Mark Feinsand on Twitter Jan 19, 2021, 7:31 PM ET

If this is the best the Twins can do in free agency, then F this team.
