Eddie Rosario has cleared waivers. #mntwins still have until 7 pm to offer him a contract. @bnightengale on it first.

Apparently, it's a done deal (no pun intended). Twins have non-tendered Rosario which I is a mistake IMO. He played great defense (threw out 6 bases runners in a Covid shortened season), is one of the best bad ball hitters I've ever seen and was one of the best clutch hitters in the Twins' lineup with power to all fields (something his Bomba Brothers have to learn to do instead of trying to pull everything which is something I harped on all season).
He's well like liked and respected in the clubhouse. Being cut outright will set a bad precedent with guys like Berrios who's gong into his final arb year and younger players (e.g. Arraez) who will see that that BB is a business and walk when it's their time to get paid.

We have younger talent who's ready to go. The writing is on the wall.

I like Cruz but think I would have kept Rosario and moved on from Cruz. Rosario gives more flexibility as a DH and LF. Oh well.
