Garver, Sano, and Cave: 11 for 100. Only direction is up from that.

Tuned in late. Twins up 4-1 on a grand slam by Rosario in the 3rd. Dobnak is looking like the best starter we have apart from Maeda. Rock solid outings virtually every start. Outstanding control and throws a variety of pitches to keep hitters off balance to make up for an average FB (low 90's on a good night, others times high 80's).

May in for Dobnak for the 6th. Gave up 1 hit but SO 2. Still don't like his mechanics when he tries to get a little extra juice on his FB (got it up to 98 tonight) as he loses the strike zone high.

Duffy on in the 7th. Gave up a single. Missed out what would been an easy DP but the Twins had the shift on and no was at 2nd base so the only play was the out at 1st.
Solid performance but Duffey didn't have his usual above average velocity ("only" had a 93-94 FB but it has movement unlike May's which is straight as a string). Had good but not great location tonight spotting his off speed pitches but has a bigger arsenal to work with than most relievers and his slider had really nice bite to it.

Romo gave up a solo HR to the lead off hitter who got it out into the Brewer's BP even though he caught it off stride and basically muscled the ball out of the park. Romo just hung the slider. Settled down and retired the rest of the side.
Twins up 4-2 heading into the 9th.

Rogers comes in and gets the save. Started off well throwing 95-96 mph with good location on his FB but his breaking stuff wasn't working and his velocity tailed off a bit to 94 (threw 21 pitches). Gave up a double down the line just fair but stranded the runner.
Twins back in the win column. 4-2.

6-0 now after Sano crushed one to the back of the upper deck seats.
2 on with 2 out with Garver at the plate but he flied out. Opposing pitchers know the book on Garver. No FB's unless it's on the outer edge of the plate up high or down low. He's been getting a steady diet of breaking balls and he hasn't made an adjustment yet.

7-0. Marwin doubled down the R field line to drive in Rosario. Brewers' skipper finally saw enough and yanked Lauer.

Cave just made a helluva catch in RF on a sinking line drive to prevent the Brewers from scoring (man on 1st).
