Someone, 2 or 3 have to go:
Candidates
Harris - $0 DC, $11M Savings Reiff - $4.4M DC $8.8M Savings Smith- $2M DC $8.7M Savings Rudy- $5.8M DC $3M Savings Elf- $200K DB $2M Savings
Reiff needs to be restructured, traded or cut. He is not worth his contract. Elf should be gone no matter what. Rudy should be traded or released. TE & RB are our deepest positions
Depending on what you do above then you are choosing between Harris who is 28 and Smith who is 31.
My concern is we should have made this decision when the money could have been used to bring us in a solid signing. Now, with the exception of Reiff and Elf, we are trading a good player for a middle of the road player. It still needs to be done, but I'd have preferred to make those decisions earlier like they did Rhodes so we could have been more active. While the draft is still sitting out there, at present this team has not improved and gotten much worse thus far.

So he graded bad with Colts did you know that players play better with different teams and OC instead of crying be glad we doing something. But our GM needs to go at the end of year.
