Tom Pelissero @tompelissero
The #Vikings are parting ways with longtime DBs coach Jerry Gray, source said. More changes on Mike Zimmer's staff.

Well there goes one of the in-house possibilities, Gray had previous DC experience. Maybe a fresh face as DB coach can get more production and development out of the CB group?

So much for the continuity speech that went out the window fast. I read it that they wanted continuity for Captain Kirk.

Maybe they know something is about to go down Something sure smells. We get rid of 2 defensive coaches who have been here since day 1 with Zimmer, who controls all defensive decisions and call the defenses. We not only will have 5 straight years of a new OC, we now are tearing down our defensive staff. What good defensive coach would want this gig when Zimmer makes all the decisions. Not to mention is currently a lame duck coach. Have to wonder if the are being let go to have opportunities with other teams, which may mean Zimmer's role is changing to. We now are at a huge changing point where we cannot keep many of our UFAs, and address Cousins contract, plus have to replace a large portion of our staff, after other teams have taken the top candidates.

If Zim is staying and D coaching position open.....would Zim hire Marvin Lewis to run the defense? Would Marvin take it?

Please if heβd continued to run for it on that 3rd and 4 instead of throwing a pass that had no chance of being completed maybe none of us are sitting here having these conversations oh well I donβt want to get started on that.
