And just like that the Saints game doesn't matter. 38-7 vs Eagles and 27-10 and completely embarrassed once again. Too bad we won vs the Saints, because now Rick and Mike get a free pass. And Stefanski sucked so bad he won't get the head coaching job so we will have that piece of shit again too. We won't do a damn thing about the offensive line. We will try to extend Kirk Cousins to help our cap hell we are in as well. And we will draft a cornerback in the 1st round again.
"The Minnesota Vikings now have the most playoff losses of any franchise in the NFL. You could say the Vikings are now the worst best team in NFL history. With this loss, the Vikings became the first franchise in NFL history to lose 30 postseason games"
GOOD JOB GUYS ANOTHER VALIANT EFFORT.

Hey!! It was ANOTHER GREAT YEAR!!
People are satisfied with this type of team. I'm NOT one of them though. Sadly, this team is pretty old at many positions and will need to reload.
They'll be lucky to make playoffs next year, but, hey, they may win one game and get smacked around right after, which would make many very happy.
They'll say, "who are you going to get that's better than Zim and Rick!!"
Uhhhh.....let's make the change

Does it really matter? We are like the Redskins. You can argue about the g.m., the coach, the qb, etc. but in the end, the clueless owner is the constant and he isn't going anywhere. He's satisfied with the upcoming year 7 of Zim and Rick so why aren't you, lol. Fans keep telling me he's the "greatest owner in the history of the Vikings!". Ya, sure.

I actually had several business meetings with Mark Wilf back in 2000-2001. I dealt with Garden Homes at that time in New York/New Jersey and during our meetings he was a very nice, polite person. BUT......the PRIMARY focus of his familyβs was ALWAYS profit. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Didnβt matter what might be best down the road, or was sustainable, or what was βpolitically correctβ. Maximize their profits NOW. PERIOD.
Iβm not saying that the Wilfβs are NOT sincere in their desire to win a Super Bowl. I donβt doubt that at all.
HOWEVER, I truly believe that the primary guiding force for the ownership is PROFIT. As long as this ridiculous βMinnesota Niceβ crap keeps rearing itβs pathetic head after every championship-winless campaign, there is NO reason for the Wilfβs to clear house and start over. Why serve up Filet Mignon when the rubes are MORE than happy with Hot Dogs?
My fellow Viking fans, unfortunately, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. Accepting failure or acceptance of the extended mediocrity weβve experienced since 2005 is NOT the way send a message to ownership that we want a CHAMPIONSHIP, not making sure the team makes a profit or stays under the salary cap.
One of the most obnoxious, sanctimonious comments of the Schpielman error (sorry, I meant Era) came after last years draft, when he said (not verbatim, but close), βMy wife told me to not draft a CB in the 1st round and draft an O-lineman β . Are you phukking kidding me!? The PRIMARY weakness on this team the last 4-5 years and you make a JOKE about it? What in Dickyβs career warrants that leeway? He has accomplished Jack SCHITT in his mediocre career in Chicago, Miami (Jay Fiedler ring a bell?) and Minnesota.
I admire the Wilfβs for using the Pittsburgh and NYG models of Front Office stability, but those other franchiseβs have Lombardi Trophies to warrant the patience. 3 playoff wins in 14 freaking years? Please. Time to move on.

The Vikings made nfl history by giving cousins an eighty four million dollar fully guaranteed contract, and theyβre currently on the razerβs edge of the salary cap. I donβt see how you can imply they are making the decisions theyβve made purely to pinch pennies.
Were you around in the Red McCombs years? If you think the Wilfs are cheap, red would fking blow your mind.
(Edit) side note - proud prob thinks heβs being funny by making references to kirkβs contract auto-correct to random phrases, but actually itβs just annoying.

There's a difference between pinching pennies and seeking to make a profit, or at least there is in well run businesses. "It takes money to make money."

The Wilfβs TOTALLY understand the point of spending money to MAKE money. They wildly over-reacted to the success of Favre/Chilly in 2009. They got enamored with the influx of cash due to the Purple #4 merchandise flying off the shelves and stupidly extended Chilly and agreed to break the bank in 2010 for Favre. But, AGAIN, they are obviously less interested in the actual outcomes of games/seasons as long as the stadium is sold out and the opiated masses continue to embrace the βwait βtil next yearβ mantra. Itβs tiresome, and quite frankly, insulting for the owners, coaches and players to continue to DEMAND blind loyalty and support when all they offer in return is bitter disappointment and a kick in the balls. Jesus, didnβt this fan base actually get behind a player telling them to β Embrace the Suckβ ? Rhetorical question, the fan base DID EMBRACE THE SUCK! Howβd that approach work? HEY DICKY AND RICKY : Win at least 2 fargging playoff games next season or get the phukk out and let a new set of jackasses disappoint the fan base. Youβve run out of excuses... we want RESULTS and 2020 is your last chance you m-fβn LOSERS!. Stop with the excuses already and DELIVER or LEAVE!
