Understand the disappointment 3 years in a row for Saints fans, but a complaint about this year is not even close to last year. In fact if you look at the angles shown here, it looks like the defender is trying to grab Rudolph's arm as he raises them to make the catch. Following that first contact is where Rudolph straighten's his arm to get it free from the defenders hold. The defender has no clue where the ball is and only reacts to Rudolph raising his arms. The refs made the right call, and this is not a controversity like last season, when the league messed up and cost the Saints from going to the Super Bowl. This link show all the angles the league had to view then show last years foul as a comparison www.espn.com/video/clip?id=28429156

If you don't play the ball you don't get the call.
I assume there will now be a new rule allowing an appeal to the Supreme Court next year.

Itβs just the media doing what it does. Dude clearly grabs Rudy while the ball is in the air, and past five yards. If you want clicks, create a controversy.

Yeah, the official is watching the play from the beginning, not just the very end. Williams initiates contact with Rudy, grabbing at his arms, and never tries to play the ball. A lot of officials will say the receiver is allowed to defend himself from that kind of assault.

Dont feel sorry for the Saints...dont forget they had their referee, whom they won 13 of last 14 games he called. Pregame their coach even said he was happy about that ref selection by Roger.
His odds finally ran out.

13 of 15 still not bad odds. Where do we sign up for that?
