So the game winning TD was an audible?
Well done, Kirk.

So the game winning TD was an audible? Well done, Kirk. Thatβs very nice to hear, we always wanted Kirk to do more.

So the game winning TD was an audible? Well done, Kirk. I read the article and I don't think it said anything about an audible (or anything about the play call at all) . I think what happened was a line of scrimmage read (designed into the play/scheme) where both Cousins and Rudolph recognized the Saints were going to blitz, making Rudolph the hot receiver.

That's exactly what Rudolph said, post-game: He and Cousins both saw the blitz coming, and Rudy was the hot route automatically. It's tough to audible near the endzone on the road in a playoff game. They have to be able to get on the same page despite being as good as 'deaf'.

Neither gave up if it was designed or not but obvisously when a 6'0" William is going against a 6'6" Rudy you gotta give it a try.

You had to be blind not to see it. My dad and I both said "Rudy 1 on 1" before the snap.

Cousins made that call. Zimmer said they had another play called and cousins recognized cover 0 and knew what to do. So, without technically checking into an audible, they audibled the play.

That specific play is exactly why Rudy has a place on this team. A pitch and catch just like Daunte and Randy used to do.

It was in the video when Zim quietly/quickly mentioned Kirk changed it up or something to that effect.
