There's good evidence Bradbury is an upgrade over Elflein. Other than that it's anyone's guess.

The real progress for this line will be schemes and playcalling - not so much the personnel.
More under center, and even more movement - good technique if you are only average 300lbs across the front. We don't have maulers or go at straight ahead like Dallas.
I do think it adds up for better OL play this season vs. last - but I won't miss Remmers or Compton!

Schemes and play calling will only take you so far. DeFilippo tried to scheme around the terrible OL last year as did Turner/Shurmur in 16'. You can only do so much. Teams figure out that your offense is limited by a poor OL and they sit on plays. You have to have a good OL to run an effective offense on a consistent basis.
I suspect that between the personnel changes and Dennison's stamp on this unit that they'll be slightly below to about average. That would be a significant upgrade. I also suspect they'll struggle in some games against more physical lines. Not happy that Reiff is back at LT, but with their cap situation it was probably too much to ask for a change. They'll try to coax one more year out of him and I'm sure they'll give him some help against those speed rushers that give him fits. They need to commit to a long term solution at OT in next years draft.

Watching the line again today, leaves a lot to be desired. We look okay at pass blocking at times, but we still get no push at all in running plays. Could be a very long year again. But on the bright side, it is preseason, which generally means absolutely nothing.

Good O-line play is 3 things. The right players, the right scheme and time together. We're not sure about the player, the scheme will be new again and they have basically no time together as a unit.
My guess is we'll see some spotty play early in the season and maybe some cohesive and consistent play by game 4 or so. That unit relies more on teamwork than any other and that takes time.

I said last week line still wasnβt impressing me. I stick by that comment and continue to hope they get better. Granted the 2βs are playing against lesser comp, but they seem better thus far scheme wise at creating holes. Again itβs against 2βs and 3βs, so not saying the 2βs are better but I think we have some players with a bit more power at that level.
Thought all units did pretty well PBing.
