Hill’s deal includes $3 million in guarantees, MLB.com has confirmed, with escalators that could take it to $9.5 million with 75 innings or 15 starts, according to Rob Bradford of WEEI.
The left-handed Hill is recovering from October surgery on his pitching elbow, and he’s not expected to return until June. Hill was effective when healthy in '19, going 4-1 with a 2.45 ERA in 13 starts for the Dodgers.

Sweeeeeet.
Who's running this team?

Here's a vid of Hill pitching. I have NEVER seen a pitcher in my entire life who hops or kicks his non plant foot out on his follow through like Hill.

Rich Hill (elbow) has begun a throwing program and hopes to make his Twins debut in early June.
Hill underwent "primary and revision surgery" on his left elbow in October and is expected to miss the first half of the season. He has been throwing short toss for two weeks and will advance to long toss in about a month. The Twins plan for Hill to be available for the stretch run and the playoffs. He signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the Twins in December. He made 13 starts for the Dodgers last year, going 4-1 with a 2.45 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 58 2/3 innings. Hill is excellent when able to pitch, but he will turn 40 years old next month and hasn't pitched more than 135 innings in a season since 2007. "Rich Hill has been throwing into a net on an empty field with his phone set up on a tripod so Twins staff can watch via Zoom. Today he threw 65-70 pitches with Rocco Baldelli and Wes Johnson among those watching.
If a season begins in July, he thinks he'd be ready to go."
