I didn't realize Polanco had a right ankle problem. Didn't appear to have any probs with the ankle. Had relatively minor surgery. link
If the Twins don't re-sign Cron AND Sano can be taught the proper footwork to make the transition to play 1st, I'd move Polanco to 3rd. Opens up a infield spot for Arraez who I think can play SS while keeping Schoop at 2nd (a true pro's pro at the position).
If the Twins elect to not re-sign Schoop for salary reasons, there should be no reason why they shouldn't be major players in the Gerritt Cole sweepstakes (personally think Strasburg stays put with the Nats or gets signed to a mega deal by a large market team like the Yanks, Dodgers, etc.)
Cole has ties to OC (Orange County in SoCal) and the Angels might be his preference but having a chance to play for a true WS contender (Twins have the bats up and down the lineup with quality pitching at the #2 and 3 spots, Berrios and Odorizzi, plus a decent bullpen which might be enough to entice Cole to sign for the Twins but it will take major bucks deal (Mauer type).
