Was it on the Athletic? Right next to the Kwesi Hot Seat fluff article. LOL
I love Nabers as a playmaker but would seem unlikely. Vikings were obviously looking QB.

Who's the #3 WR on that team, JJ, JA, or MN? I suppose KAM's replacement could draft Shedeur Sanders next year. I suppose the media wall impacting machine that's been running in hyper-overdrive for the last 3 months will take some time to run down, but that one is really over the top. Where did you find it, red?

Seems odd to me after dumping Cousins' 35 mil+ contract they'd walk right into another one when they were counting on all that cap next year.

Actually, that one was commented on from a real GMs. I'll find it one second.

Seems odd to me after dumping Cousins' 35 mil+ contract they'd walk right into another one when they were counting on all that cap next year. Actually, that one was commented one from real sources. I'll find it one second. "Chargers general manager Joe Hortiz confirmed Thursday that he fielded inquiries about Herbert but did not specify which teams contacted him." "Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, when asked about Minnesota's reported inquiry into Herbert's availability, said he didn't "know where this stuff comes from." "I wish I could tell you how much joy we get from seeing the stuff that gets written. ... Those aren't things that come out of this building," Adofo-Mensah said Thursday. "I don't know what to tell you. I don't know where this stuff comes from. Sometimes it works out in our favor. I can't even respond."

"I don't know what to tell you. I don't know where this stuff comes from. Sometimes it works out in our favor. I can't even respond." Thanks, Proud. I believe KAM's denial. This offseason was the Vikings' Great Reset, and having another high priced QB -- regardless of his talent -- flew right in the face of everything KAM's engineered from divesting egregious contracts to this draft to next year's rich cap space. The man has certainly answered any remaining questions from his 2022 draft in my book. You know how long I've been around these boards, and I've never seen anything like what's happening now.

Source on Vikings trying to trade up to 5 for Nabors is Mike F. Apparently his name is banned from the site.

According to Mike The Fiction Section Of The Library (ProFootballTalk), they tried to make a move that would have shook up the entire first round and had our brains malfunctioning almost to the degree of what they are dealing with today in Atlanta. Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah was reportedly trying to get to No. 5, where the LA Chargers were.
During a live hit last night for ProFootballTalk.com, The Fiction Section Of The Library said a source he trusts says the Vikings had serious discussions Jim Harbaugh & Co, not to get a QB, but to try and snag LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers.

Anyone see the report today we tried to move to 5 to take not a QB but to take Nabors? That’s an interesting rid bit. I could see that, for one reason, to make the Giants think that even the Vikings value Nabors over McCarthey so they wouldn't take McCarthy. Cue the spinners...Games people play
