Hopefully, less than the eight years that Zimmer was given. So you do not want them to win? We should want them here at least another decade which would mean that they won the big dance... So many responses here seem short sighted. No way we know what kind of QB we aquire by the end of the '24 season. KAM and KOC will be judged on the whole of their work, not by a single pick, although this years QB aquisition and or failure to get their guy will weigh on their futures heavily. That is a lot of people's mindset. It is the video game reset mentality. Way to many people now days never have suffered the extreme beat down of Monopoly or playing any game against their older siblings. Andy Reid himself would have been run off by a lot on this board.

Not a PFF guy but they did grade the Vikings 2023 draft class as 6th most impactful. Which is pretty high considering they gave up their 2nd for Hockenson and PFF gave them nothing for that.
22 draft did yield Ingram, Chandler and a few possibles.
I believe it is a misconception that other teams are 'hitting' on all of their picks.

Blackmon was OK, but Iβll be shocked if he develops to the point of a 2nd contract. Heβs just too small/too slow and teams targeted him directly once he started playin for Murphy. To the questionβ¦ I think there are too many variables to put on a time table. Did they play right away or did they hold a clipboard? Did they go to a team with good fit, coaching and talent or did they go to the Bears? I think the rope you give them varies. On a team like the Vikingsβ¦ between coach and talent you should have a damn good idea after 2 years of βplayingβ! If they start day 1 then itβs the after year 2, if they hold a clipboard year 1 then itβs after year 3. But in general I think you gotta give these kids 3 years as long as they are showing promise. Thatβs my take.

I believe Red they graded them on playing time and production.
And every team got rewarded for the rookie they had that produced the most. For Vikings it was Addison.
Only down note of the article was that two of the five teams in the NFL that graded out a more productive 2023 draft after one season were Detroit and GB. Of course the Texans were #1 by a wide margin. They got rewarded for both Stroud and Anderson.

I appreciate the honest answers from people answering 1 year/training camp... whether they were joking or not.
From what I have seen on this board; I doubt some posters will give the rookie, HC & GM more than 4-5 games to develop a franchise QB before calling for their heads.

if they draft a QB in the first both KOC and KAM will likely get extensions this year.
