C'mon Goodell, swap picks 8 and 11.
YOU LIKE THAT?!?!?

Any real or pending action, an official heads up from the league that a 8/11 flip flop could actually happen, would literally disable us from making a trade until they concluded the investigation, no?
This would he a huge twist in the story the team has been living for weeks: Vikes want to move up but the league wants them to hold on to the 11 until they figure it out.

All teams tamper. kirk just happened to say the truth out loud and now it may cost the Falcons.
Not a good way for Kirk to start his Falcon career.

There is no possible way the Vikings trade up before the draft is live. They need to be sure the guy they want is there.

One of their top choices will be there if they go up to 3, but beyond that, they have to wait as you said.

A swap of picks would be awesome, but when has the league ever done us any favors?

There is zero chance of this happening. The Vikings would get the advantage, and I can't remember ever seeing a League decision coming down in the Vikings favor. Now if the tampering was reversed, there is no doubt inmy mind the Vikings would lose the rest of our 1st round picks for the remainder of the 2020 decade. That's just the way the NFL cookie crumbles.

I donβt think the league can do nothing on an obvious case of tamperingβ¦ the biggest question is will the Vikings get compensated or does ATL simply lose a pick.

The Vikes will get compensated, but I doubt it's anything in the first round. Although, it just seems that Kwesi knows something is happening. Just a gut feeling.

A swap of firsts would be awesome but that seems too harsh. Everyone knew that Kirk was likely going to Atlanta if the Vikings did t resign him. The falcons definitely talked to Kirk before the window was open but did that really impact the Vikings? The Vikings had plenty of time to resign him and clearly didnβt want to hit his number. If the Falcons told Kirk a week before FA started that they were good at $100mm guaranteed, it didnβt really impact the Vikings thinking. My view is that the Vikings knew in the spring of 2023 that they were out on Kirk after the 2023 season. Maybe the league clips the Falcons a mid-round pick just for show.

I agree that it won't likely involve the first round picks as punishment. Perhaps the league will award the Vikings one of the falcons 3rd round picks. They have 2 this year

They have 2 this year I agree 1st rounder involved seems heavy, but switching 11 for 8 is about the same value as Atlanta's first 3rd round pick. Seems they have generally swapped picks or just taken picks away in the past in these type situations.

The one thing that leads me to believe something big happened were the Koc interviews at the combine one day apart where he went from very optimistic to distraught about resigning Cousins and in that second interview referring to tampering. We shall see.

As written, my mind went to a shiny limo pulling up at the Combine. The door opens and Kirk steps out. KOC smiles and thinks, "thats my guy!" Pitts and Robinson then step out leaving him stunned. I too raised an eyebrow at his combine comments; I didn't get much of a sour grapes vibe from it. I thought the comments threw Kirk under the bus past a point of return so it must have been serious.
