turning 26 today so is now the same age as Sam Darnold.
Seems crazy but Darnold was 20 as a rook and Hall lost two years serving a mission for the Mormon church.
I don't think we saw enough of Hall last year to get a very good handle on how he will fare. We will see if he flashes for the team in 2024 and how his career plays out.

Hall looked good in the scripted 1st drive against Atlanta but sure didn't look the same after the bell got rang.

Hall looked like a deer in headlights in his start against the Packers.

It happens. Hall looked overwhelmed against GB. Of course it was his 2nd and 3rd quarter of professional football.

So, if the Vikings have Darnold and then draft a first round quarterback, do Mullens and Hall both make the team?

So, if the Vikings have Darnold and then draft a first round quarterback, do Mullens and Hall both make the team? Mullens probably gets cut if the Vikings can't trade him for a 6th or 7th rd pick. Cutting Mullens saves $2mm vs. less than a million for cutting Hall.

Mullens can actually operate the offense though. He operates it until he blows it up. Bottom line to me is if we're trading up to draft a QB in the top 5, he at worst needs to be your #2 on opening day. And also maybe be able to win the starting the job in camp. If we draft Maye or JJM and either one is 3rd on the depth chart behind two scrubs like Darnold and MUllens then I really have to wonder whether we fucked up.

Hall would have to show huge improvement to even be considered for a spot if they draft a QB early. Heβd more likely be a ps candidate. Mullens contract is peanuts.
