They did make recommendations that someone bigger than Powell should be the Tush Push Pushie.

Anything to give the offense another advantage. Now I actually like rugby, but the tush push is stupid. It results in an ugly mass of carnage that's terrible to watch. As soon as someone assists the runner, the ball should be blown dead. It's really not that difficult.

Why not? Like any other fad, learn to stop it......and they will eventually.

Because it is bad football. Get rid of it.
IMO no offensive player should be able to assist the runner. Aso the defense should not be able to stand a ball carrier up, stop forward process and then hold him up to strip the football. Play should be bad.
Just ugly and dumb.

I think the notoriety of this play has retired alongside Jason Kelce.

I'm ok with the play staying legal as long as the NFL bans the Vikings from ever doing it again.

It is football and not rugby, it changes the structure and integrity of the game and do not think it has a place.

Many of us would have loved this when we had Culpepper, whom really needed no help getting a yard or two straight ahead.
Thinking seriously, I would have accepted a rule change to rid of it then - should the NFL had said it is not safe or sportsmanship or etc....so yeah, I want it out now.

Didn't we get an "Aiding the Ball Carrier" penalty that was complete BS in the NFC Championship loss in RFK back in the day.... we had a couple interesting calls against us on that drive (Nelson was over the line btw).

Here's a play.
Two TEs in the backfield. They hoist a RB up on their shoulders (like cheerleaders do). LS hikes it directly to the RB and the TEs throw the player into the endzone. Good for redzone and 4th and 1s.
or
3 QBs line up in the backfield so other team doesn't know whom is getting the snap. 3 WRs line up so the other team can only afford to rush 2 against 5 on OL.

In the interest of diversity and inclusion, roster a 90lb female as a QB. Massive human like a N. Suh lines up as eligible. Massive human takes shotgun snap, hands ball to “Twiggy”, picks her up and proceeds to throw her and the ball into the end zone like a javelin. Twiggy becomes first female NFL scoring leader with 25tds and 30 2pt conversions.
