Speaking of DirecTV, anyone switch to streaming service yet? Yep, went YouTube TV about a year ago. The functionality is a bit different than DTV. Good thing is unlimited online dvr. We also have Prime, Netflix and other that are free. The value is much better with streaming IMO. Edit: If you have good internet there's no lag, at least not at our place.

Speaking of DirecTV, anyone switch to streaming service yet? I like it and it's cheaper than cable; but, you should buy an HD antenna for local broadcasts. Also, most of the streaming services are commercial free.

When I looked into YouTube TV it was about $75+per month and the only channels I would watch from them are free with an antenna. Netflix, Hulu, Prime and Apple get my streaming $$$.

Speaking of DirecTV, anyone switch to streaming service yet? I've switched to youtube in may last year. I miss the MLB channel, and if your watching a game live, you have to turn off an score notices on your phone, because your at least a 30 second to a minute behind.

We had DTV for decades going all of the way back to the PrimeStar days. At the height of our consumption when our kids were home we had 6 TV boxes and my bill was around $380 per month before the NFL package. Dropping our bill to $75 a month was a huge savings. I do see your point about being able to save even more though.

No to streaming DTV but did move to streaming on our local cable and love it. I had DTV for years and what broke the back was when they started offering High Def and it completely screwed my home network up. Could never get a solution other then leaving DTV all together.
Bigger problem is now Netflix (a$$holes increased the monthly fee and supposedly I have 4 logins not dependant on location..doesn't work or so my daughter tells me).
Amazon Prime (got it for the 2 day shipping that no longer exists....now I really don't know but I would assume I get a marginally better deal on products.... but TEMU looks more and more inviting),
Disney + well this one is a Vice got it primarily for the Star Wars and Marvel products, but seriously considering dropping it since they have not pushed out anything of my interest for a year or 2 now).
Max it is "Free" with my Cell Phone Plan..... yeah don't get me started there.
Stupid thing is my TV watching is Vikings during the season (Streaming Cable has excellent quality) and Youtube. My wife on the other hand has Multiple network shows (I get very limited recording space and only if I am missing a Vikings Game), Netflix series, Prime Series and on occasion Disney + has a movie she wants to watch...... so can't get rid of any of those.

ICYMI: www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/youtube-tv-latency-broadcast-delay/We have fiber optic direct to our house so our internet is fast and stable. I haven't noticed any issues when adjusting this setting.
