I would love to see the Vikings move into the top 3. It's going to be expensive but it's time to make that leap.

I have a feeling that quarterbacks Williams, Maye and Daniels are going to be the first three players selected. It will take a lot for the Vikings to move up from number eleven into the top three.

You would have to be completely sold on McCarthy, Penix, or Nix to stay put at 11.

So.... what's the pricetag? It's most likely going to be this years first, next years first and next years second round pick.

I don't know how much of the statement from the Bears to believe.
It may very well be Chicago trying to drum up interest as well, or raise the price considerably, but I agree that if they are considering trading out of it, we should try like hell to acquire it. So what if we lose next year's 1st and a 2nd in addition to our 1st this year.
I don't see how we win a Superbowl without a Franchise QB and I'm not sure we will be this close to the top 10 again in the foreseeable future, so to me, this is the year to move way up and put this franchise on a winning trajectory.

This will be a bit rambling.
True or not it makes sense Vikings would want to at least know the cost to make a decision. Given all the holes in the team including QB, they need to be filled at some point, this is 100% true. Even if Kirk is back he's no longer a long term solution and no matter what is floated in the press he will want BIG $$$'s and 2 years, removing free agent hole filling options. This is likely true.
Will we have a lower pick next year making the cost to move up more next year? Is there going to be QB next year worth the risk? Is there a QB this year worth the risk?
QB seems to be very hard to find even if picking in the top 5 so when do you try again to find the one?
I do not claim to be a talent evaluator so who to pick is a crap shoot but if Vikings never pick they will never find the one.
The next two years are going to be playing with holes so there is no Super Bowl window at risk. This makes move up risk now "less risky". Vikings should seriously look at moving up, all future draft picks and currently signed players are on the table to make a deal. Just don't overpay.
I have changed my mind on (moving up in draft) and may do so again.

Go with Russell Wilson and Jaren Hall at quarterback next season. Finish at 5-12 and get a top five pick in the 2025 draft. Then, move up to get Shedeur Sanders.

Itโll take 3 number ones to get to 1 or 2 overall. If itโs Williams, you start him right away and use cap room to fill the holes. It would be worth it if he isnโt a flake or prima Donna.

The Bears will keep the pick and use it themselves, IMO

This is the only board I know of where the admin sidelines relevant conversation because, well, just because.

Here is the thing about trading up to number 1. The Bears have that pick. Would they even consider trading with the Vikings as we are in the same division as them.? I think if they did trade with us they would make us pay more than other teams.
