Kyle Shanahan will choke away the SB and then everyone will feel better.

Dak, DaK , Dak San Francisco shows the whole NFL how to build a team, and our dumb ass GM has failed to learn from it take your departed filly and get the heck out of Minne it really gets me so frustrated It's not perfect there either. Dont forget their "leadership" thought it was a good idea to trade the farm for LANCE who was a complete waste compared to what they gave up. They got freaking lucky that Purdy seems to have talent that every other team missed 6 times in the draft. Draft is a crap shoot and Vikings draft luck seems to suck a lot in recent years. Maybe flushing the scouting department was a good move? We have to wait another year for that. I am thinking our luck still sucks. Nothing before or after his fluke season in MN says Keenum was a good thing. Keenum pre horse shoe up the pooper season, three teams 9-15 record. After horse shoe up the pooper season five teams and 9-17 record. Outside of that one season never had a winning record. The 2017 team was a by product of a historically good defense.

It wasn't just the defense in 2017. I watched a few games in person with Keenum, he was damn good. Yes, lucky at times with his gunslinging style but he was a stud most games that year. Had Keenum stayed one more year I'd pretty much guarantee they make the playoffs again; no big changes were made to the rest of the team. Instead, it was a learning curve year in 2018 for golden boy Kirk and they missed the playoffs.

Iβve told Cowboy fans for years that Dak, Romo and Kirk are the same guy. You canβt overpay them and win. The cap doesnβt work with those kinds of QBβs. Zimmer knew it all along. Zimmer didn't know crap, because he didn't see a good thing when it hit him in the face with Keenum. We had this "Purdy recipe" and yet so many failed to see it and care enough to build around it. The difference in San Fran is their lines are built far better than the Vikings and that's the recipe I can get behind.
Even worse: Zimmer would flat out talk down about Keenum at his pressers. The guy was out there winning games for Zimmer, just to have Zimmer thank him by throwing shade at him to the press. It took me until then to realize he was a prick. Apparently I'm a little slow.

Lol, the defense led the team to the NFCG. Case just had to manage not to screw up and on occasion get lucky when Diggs or Adam bailed him out after a poor throw. He earned a starting gig anywhere willing to pay him what he was asking. What did he do with that shot? Was cut one year into that new contract and is on his FIFTH team since the lucky charms season in MN.

So somebody help me out. Discussion of the current quarterback situation gets moved to this Daunte topic instead of the main forum? Just want to understand that I should not write about quarterbacks in the main forum.

Instead, it was a learning curve year in 2018 for golden boy Kirk and they missed the playoffs. 2017 is what we call an outlier. Outside of mobility when the pocket collapsed he was by no means damn good. He has always had below average arm strength, isn't known for accuracy, and prone to boneheaded plays.Β The contested catch rate from both Diggs and AT in 2017 was outrageous. A rate that wasn't replicable. But would have been needed the following year if Case remained as he was/is notorious for rolling out when the play breaks down and tossing up boneheaded balls.Β He rode the coattails of two WR's balling out and a historically good defense.Β Β 2017 NFL RANKS Scoring defense: 15.8 ppg (1st) Total defense: 275.9 (1st) Pass defense:Β 192.4 ypg (2nd) Run defense:Β 83.6 ypg (2nd)
